What's driven the SP up today ?, Farage saying he will only stand Brexit candidates in constitutes where the Tories didn't win, a very good call IMO although some are saying he's letting brexiteers down, on the contrary he's giving the leavers a better chance of getting a better brexit deal if Boris and the Tory party need The Brexit parties MPs in a coalition.

Is the £1.8bn of provisions Lloyd's have made the last of PPI, when is the good news going to start channeling through.

Lloyd's doesn't need any help from HSBC, it's making hard weather of any sort of turn around, poor Q3 interim results and we could be lower 50s :-((.

You would hope the final cost of PPI has been priced in, but as Victor Blank has posted the MBNA defaults are increasing.
and car finance loans defaults are increasing with Lloyds being at the forefront with regards lending.
With bad figures net week could this share be back in the low 50s ?.

The "common market" that we voted for in 1975 has morphed in the present EU because no political party ever offered the electorate the chance to change it FACT.
I'm not sure you're "now majority of the Country" is correct, but if the likes of yourself and obviously the majority of UK citizens really believe that lets put it to the UK electorate in a general election, I find it strange that the opposition parties are not banging on Boris's door to ask him to get the wheels in motion, I can assure you in Yorkshire as a whole Labour will be wiped out, gone are the days of the big Northern City's voting en-block for Labour.

I do believe the vote in Northern Ireland was to remain in the EU snige, so maybe they won't mind.

I don't think Johnson has the ball's to go into a coalition with Farage, Farage has told the Tories it is leaving with no deal or he and the Brexit party won't join forces, and although I do believe Johnson does want a deal it can't have the back stop in it.

PPI very worrying for LLoyds have they told us the truth......

The payment protection insurance (PPI) scandal could cost banks £53bn, according to a forecast made as firms warned of mounting bills from claims.

Dominic Lindley of New City Agenda made the estimate as CYBG warned of a potential £450m bill for new claims. Shares fell 21% to record lows.

The owner of Clydesdale, Yorkshire and Virgin Money blamed an "unprecedented volume" of complaints sparked by the 29 August deadline for claims.

Other banks also face higher costs.

Royal Bank of Scotland, owner of NatWest, said on Wednesday it could face a £900m charge, while Co-operative Bank said on Thursday it was assessing its costs.

Mr Lindley, who has been keeping a tally at the think tank, said: "This means that total provisions from the banks could reach £53bn."

He believes the bank with the biggest bill, Lloyd's Banking Group, could announce an extra provision of £2bn, while Barclays might set aside as much as £1bn more.

Neither Lloyd's nor Barclays was able to comment on the speculation.

They would look pretty stupid if Boris did offer a General Election and could not get 75% ? backing by MPs.
Blair is no fool and can see why Boris could call a snap election.
Blair says :
