George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Seeing it go to 15p was a bit depressing but thought 'there's no way I can sell at this price.' You good fellows kept me going. Some hard lessons learnt but it's looking a bit more promising now.
That may indeed be me. Sitting on an 86p average.
Genuinely delighted for the rest of you though!
I hear what Investroid is saying. I've been sitting on a substantial paper loss for several months now, but despite Shorterguy's incessant and seemingly smug remarks regarding the SP's status during the intervening months, I do think both a bit of caution and magnanimity is in order.
80p? That would bring music my ears. I've been sitting on an average of 86p for months. So many times I thought I'd be better cutting my losses, and if it wasn't for some of the more measured amongst you, I'd have probably done so. Glad I stuck around!
My wife and I are both aged 34 and we pay the license fee and nothing more. Other than this rather disastrous foray into the world of CINE shares we're pretty canny with our £££ and think paying for Sky, Disney, Netflix etc is a waste of money. I imagine there are a lot of people with a similar mindset, and of course an equal (or greater?) number who sign themselves up to every subscription going. Depends on your lifestyle, I guess, and what you value.
We go to the cinema perhaps 2-3 times a year and that's only if it's something that we think would be best viewed on a big screen. For instance, we both wanted to see '1917' because a movie of that sort is - we think - best experienced in a cinema.
My daughter (age 7) loves going to the cinema. It's the experience of the ritual (driving there, loading up on sweets, watching the movie on a big screen, the buzz of being in amongst a crowd etc) that she enjoys. Sure, she'll watch a film on the tele but if you gave her the choice she'd go with cinema every time. My wife's a teacher and I work with kids age 5-18: they love cinema and would be going there now if they were open and there was something to watch.
I don't think cinema will die, but things are looking rather precarious for Cineworld - there's no getting away from that. Hey-ho, I'll hang onto my modest holding and see where things go over the next few weeks/months.
Indeed. I've decided to hold for the time being. I'll let the madness pass then reassess where we're at.
Obviously, I don't want to lose it all, but I CAN afford to. Therefore, in terms of balancing risk - selling at these prices just isn't an option for me right now.
I'm in an identical position. Same numbers...spooky.
I plan to hold. I know it's a risk and I could potentially lose the lot, but I'm taking a chance on Cine being in a much better position in the next 6 months or so. If I lose it all I'll still have a house, a wife, my daughter, a job, my cricket bat i.e. the things that matter. It's just money at the end of the day and I'd never invest what I couldn't afford to lose.
Not I.
I'm down 1-8% in all my investments today, but I ain't panicking. If anything, I wish I had a few extra pennies to top-up!
I'm down between 4-6% on all of my investments right now. Over the preceding 10 trading days each of them, including CINE, saw a steady day-on-day rise. We can't always have it our own way. It'll rise when it's ready. Patience. Just chill, relax, and wait it out.
And Derampers...why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here today? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
I'm invested here, but not one for blathering over much on BBs. I do like the community spirit on this BB though and hope it all works out for everyone. Fingers for a juicy RNS on Tuesday.
Have a good weekend. I'm off to play cricket in the 12 degree 'heat'.
84p here. So quite a ways to go yet. Sold a bit the other day and stuck it in to 7DIG which seems to be going crazy just now. Bulk of my cash is in CINE though. Change is just around the corner...
Just did the exact same on HL and was offered 3.60.
Exact same problem I have. Thinking of selling all my silver to pump more ££ into Cine, haha.
Cineworld's Scottish cinemas re-opening on 26th August. Relatively miniscule number of screens in the context of the Cineworld empire, but I'm well chuffed.

I use Hargreaves Lansdown. Never had any issues.
Quite often see a retrace after large gains. Nothing to fret about.
£1 tomorrow?
Closing in on 90p...
