It does somewhat surprise me that some on here and elsewhere who seem responsible enough to invest in shares, have not made themselves fully aware of The Consolidation and how it will effect their holdings. The information given out by the company itself together with information on sites such as these by well informed and experienced investors was surely good enough for everyone to understand what it meant. But for some to say they woke up this morning surprised by their share holding etc, or asking how it would affect their capital investment is rather amazing. there is enough info around for most to understand what went on etc Oh well!!
I think it is fair for investors to expect--soon--an RNS giving some timelines as to when WN and Wressle will start to perform. We have successfully had the consolidation and other proposals passed. We are told WN is the best thing since sliced bread, that wressle should produce 500 barrel minimum per day, but since that information the silence has been rather deafening. Appreciate permissions needed for Wressle and The squeeze--but WHEN---We were told some three months ago about WN and its huge resource but since then ZILCH. The boys from Reabold came out with a decent presentation but ZILCH since. Now UNLESS something big going on in background that we will soon know about---and pure speculation-- we now need to be told what is going on and when things will now move on a pace---not an unreasonable request since DB said last year--Thes Boys will certainly not want to hang about?? Hmmm!! I would hope/wish for an RNS update before close of business this Friday!
We have our home n Salobrena south of Granada up for sale--in the Old Town just down from the Castle, lovely house plus independent apartment! We are returning to UK!
Ref LEAKS---I think one of the problems here is that UJO has been one of the most attractive shares on AIM, huge potential in several different projects, This makes it a magnet for insider trading/leaks/ whatever underhand moves are possible---and as DB says, what am I supposed to do?? He has carried out a thorough investigation inside UJO, so, as said, the leaks are from outside, a beer in a pub with a guy from the broker and there you have it. Change the broker, change the PR, will it stop the leaks?? Who knows---whatever and wherever the leaks come from they are a complete pain in the backside and DB admits this--if UJO were not so attractive would there be the leaks??
OK Yep we all did, on paper, only real hammer if we decided to sell---my PF now looks ****e compared to a few months ago. I am still keeping faith that this will come good and NOT be like UKOG---heaven forbid Good luck anyway!
not caught out at all--MATE!! Instead of spouting on here why not speak to DB yourself and then you can make your own mind up after speaking to a good honest CEO---few of them about, and fewer willing to speak to shareholders, who keep companies together! he has always said he is willing to speak to ANYONE as long as they are not abusive---give it a go--you maybe pleasantly surprised!
CROC--To make it clear--I did speak to DB early in New Year when he did say ATM a consolidation not on the cards, but if one was done then it would be done for GOOD reasons. Not spoken to him since, as no doubt he has many many things on his mind. It is not only my opinion but those of the REABOLD guys that they are/have been in talks with BIG BOYS and maybe in advanced stage---who knows--and because of the way those talks have developed a Consolidation was the way forward considering the enormous number of shares in issue. All conjecture at this stage, and I am sure/hope all talk at this stage are of the highest confidential nature. personally do not feel it fair to speak to DB ATM---he cannot/will not speak about anything that is of a confidential nature so no point, best to wait a little longer for all to come out in the wash. Exciting times ahead for all those who hold!!
Many continue to moan about Consolidation because of their previous experiences with duff companies?Well UJO is not duff. I spoke to DB a few weeks ago and asked about consolidation and he said they would only consolidate for GOOD reasons and so many companies had had to consolidate for BAD reasons. I trust him and believe UJO has moved on from that conversation i had with him the good reasons may well be that IF we are in talks with a BIG company they will not want to be dealing with a small company with millions of shares sloshing around. IMHO it is all part of the big plan to tighten up the way UJO is run in preparation for a merger/take over/ farm out or whatever it is going to be---I say IS as I genuinely believe we will either sell part of UJO or be part of a bigger company---whatever, although at present the sp is ****e i believe this is the lull before the storm of much better times As they say---WE SHALL SEE
Been quite a bit of discussion around planning and councils. Yes we are in for a period when the consortium will have to put in for various Planning Applications, and one is always wary as to how it will turn out. However seeing how vast these projects are going to be and the benefits not only the UK economy but to the local community´s in general by way of hand outs from the consortium, business opportunities and employment, one would hope that councils will see that these benefits far out-way any negative objections? One always has to bear in mind also that councils will be wary of turning down any recommendations as the Planning Officers will have done their work with due diligence in arriving at their decision and to go against that decision leaves councils in a very precarious position. Generally councils in the UK are now strapped for cash and any appeal that is not going to be upheld would cost these councils VERY dearly, as it is THEY that would have to foot the bill for that costly appeal. Nothing is certain but i think we are more certain than not that any recommendation by a Planning Officer would be carried!
You could be forgiven into thinking one was looking at a graph from an earthquake---its gone up and down so much!!!
I reckon there is a lot going on behind the scenes ATM We have not really heard anything further about WN--timescales CPR EWT etc, little on Wressle progress. We have the Meeting coming up and our vote on Consolidation etc--in preparation for something bigger?? Who knows--will there be sufficient shareholders to influence the Board on PR company and Broker??? Lots to look forward to and no doubt lots to tell shareholders soon--I hope!! Intriguing times??
Was anyone ever invested- I use the word lightly---- in TRP I did not have a big holding, but the consolidation left me with 180 shares currently worth less than 180p The OIL INTO WATER saga----remember?? But IMH this is a totally different kettle of fish and done for genuine reasons that will help put the company on a better footing and attract institutional investors. DB said he would only recommend consolidation for good reasons only. Investors here who have commented it is bad, have bad experiences with companies with big problems like myself TRP and MATRA! UJO and its partners are on the cusp of big things, you only have to look at the geological maps and the area they are in. Once the dust settles mots---if not all-- will say this is a good professional move Good Luck ALL
I think here you are quite wrong on TWO counts, Institutions are well aware of what is going in the Humber area and also Institutions have been asking questions as confirmed by partners!! and it is my belief that todays news is in preparation for big moves to come!!
If my maths are correct-- your 1m shares at say .17 are worth 1700 quid? Then with consolidation you will have 5000 shares at the then market value of 34p will still give you 1700 quid. IF the share went to 3p that is 17.64 higher than today (1 divided by.17p) that equals 29988 --so answer should be YES!! approx 30k
