Ageas offer topped out at 239 a share, so Aviva at 250 need to try harder. I think Aviva need to start with a 3.

In accordance with Rule 2.6(a) of the Code, Aviva is required, by not later than 5.00 p.m. on 25 December 2024, to either announce a firm intention to make an offer for the Company in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer for the Company, in which case the announcement will be treated as a statement to which Rule 2.8 of the Code applies. This deadline can be extended with the consent of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers in accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the Code.

Auction tomorrow, shorts burning bright. Possible higher offer in coming days from Aviva or someone else.

If the Aviva takeover of Direct Line eventually goes through may put more cash in to ITV.

Could see the price drop today with no RNS to feed the rise. Have a feeling that a formal offer for part or all of the business may be somewhere off. Will pick up another tranche of 50,000 shares if I see a drop today.
