Government still own 62.4% of the shares - it has stated that it has no wish to own/run a Bank & have previously sold tranches @ 330p in 2015 & 271p in 2018 therefore it appears to be happy to dispose the shares at a significant loss. Budget next week & Government may be looking for significant NHS funding? RBS divi also reduced.

OK I have been looking at this ESL & still may take a punt but would like your input - AXA & Tinkler (ex CEO) have dumped half their holdings today from about 6.6% each to 3.3% so more may follow from those sources. Invesco hold 4.8% & Schroders 3.5% so I guess they may also be looking to get out in an orderly fashion idc. Hence I have left it on my watch list & will be monitoring it closely - Wincanton have been in during suspension to do DD but did not make any offer so didnt like what they found - not to say they or someother may be interested DHL for example? Part of the finance package is also at 18% !!

Amers - Thanks the sp seems to have settled a little today - I may put in a cheeky bid & see if I catch a fall. I am also very hopeful of a profitable outcome on EUA - see you at the London party?

Dont forget the EUA staff who would be closest to the truth & fully involved exercised options to purchase shares post suspension - They would hardly do that if there was anything but good news in the pipeline.

I see Metro as the only "real" challenger out there - they have a few smart outlets open 7 days a week where required & can produce a card for you in minutes. I just wish they would concentrate on "niche" fee income producing markets - Equity Release, ex-pats etc rather than following the banking herd.
