We proposed a rough date for the end of this month but he suggested having a meeting when the Circular was close to being finalised. I won't post any further on the subject as I always receive too much criticism.

I take your point regarding shareholders that are non-members of BMR Watch. I was pointing out that we represent shareholders within the alliance. We aim to work in the best interest of shareholders, so there's no reason to suggest that we don't also work in your favour, especially as you don't know what we do and what we've achieved.

I didn't say the Watch will have input into the Circular, just that it would be good if we could. BMR Watch is here to give all shareholders a voice, but you must become a member if you want to have your input. The team behind BMRW have worked very hard to get us to where we are, therefore we've earned access and time with the board.

It's been arranged with a date TBC. I don't see the harm in having a meeting just before it's finalised. All shareholders have the chance to vote on it anyway.

When you say BMR Watch doesn't represent all shareholders, how do you know if you're not even part of the alliance? We listen to shareholders and do what the majority want us to do. It's impossible to please everyone but we involve all members. We put important decisions to vote and go with the majority. All members have a voice and can contribute in many ways.

I think the idea is to have a meeting with the Watch when the Circular is close to being finalised. That way we can see the contents and perhaps have an influence on what goes into it. It's all about working together at this stage.

Details surrounding the circular are a little sketchy. I would imagine that it will be sent out via post to shareholders. That's a lot of mail. I suppose it's one downside to being a non-listed company and one reason why it's easier to communicate with all shareholders when the company is a listed entity.

BMR Watch should be having another meeting with the board 'shortly'. The circular is likely to be released after this.

has almost doubled in the last couple of months. Seems to be doing very well. I'm hopeful of a similar rise here, perhaps after the results are released. On the other hand, if we landed a deal with Netflix I think the rise here would make Brave Bison's look rather small!

Another £1.3m in revenue from Tern related commissions. It looks like Tern will make up the bulk of our revenue at this rate and hopefully provide a much needed profit boost.

A little bit of buying today which has pushed the SP up. If only we could hang on to the rise, we seem to be stuck in a rut at present. I calculate about 8 weeks until the interim results are released, let's hope these are the best yet and we get more large commission wins in the meantime (Netflix please!).

Actually he's not required to hold AGM's as we are a non-listed company. However, he does have to inform shareholders in writing of any changes.

Zinc Media seems pretty active on Twitter lately... Plenty of content flowing out of Tern. I think it will turn out to be a great acquisition.

I wonder what Mark Browning's vision will be for the company? I have a feeling it won't involve any acquisitions just yet. We must be due some big commission wins soon? It's been a while since they RNS'ed any.

Of course, creditors are always paid first. It depends how you define ownership. If I held 5% in Barclays I wouldn't be able to walk into a branch and say I'm taking over this branch because I own it.

If the company you own shares in does well you expect to benefit from it. If you're not happy with management and have enough votes you can influence change at board level. That's the kind of ownership that matters.

It doesn't matter what you read in articles. Even in private companies, shares are usually issued. If I owned 1 share of a private company and my business partner owned the other 1 share, would I not own 50% of that company?

Listed companies are no different. Why do companies pay excess cash to shareholders as dividends? Why do they have to consult shareholders for approval when a takeover offer is made? It's because shareholders own a part of that company.
