Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Ok, it feels like nothing is happening although , of course, something is, I’m just not sure what. This has taken a long time and it feels like interested parties are waiting for condor to run out of money. A best and final sealed bid process would avoid that. I doubt it’s going to happen so we wait …
Yes, but what’s the delay. Those who have wanted a site visit have done it. There are non-binding agreements. Everyone who is likely to have an interest is aware of what’s on offer so unless you want to wait for a long time why not ask for best and final offers?
It works very well for estate agents. Clearly you think you are a business expert, but let’s face it, nothing is happening and hasn’t for the last year.
I agree, maybe it’s time for sealed bids. Everyone puts in their best and final offer and the highest gets it. Condor can set a reserve price.
I mean keep it public
If JM takes it private MC will be screwed along with us as he is a major shareholder. A large incentive not to keep it public.
Everyone is free to Give their own opinion, whether you like it or not; as long as it’s honestly held it doesn’t harm anyone.
The net result of telling them to effectively go away is the hibernation of this thread.
Personally, I like this discussion, even though I don’t agree with some of it. It helps put into perspective the difficulties of being invested here.
Forgive the prompting, but Sir Andrew, would you share your thoughts at this point please ?
We all know what’s coming and what it will do to share price. It’s just a question of time !
I have invested in a number of companies in similar situations to Condor although not necessarily gold explorers. I would be very surprised if there are not regular discussions with other businesses in the country. They are all in the same industry in the same jurisdiction and have the same aims of making money for themselves and shareholders. It would be a dereliction of duty to not know about everything that is going on, what is available and at what price. I suppose by point is simply that we need the permits.
I don’t think we are far apart Andrew. We both agree there will be parity between the exchanges, which ever one drives the share price.
Two exchanges
It appears there was considerable enthusiasm for condor shares on TSX but the price has been dragged back by AIM. There needs to be parity of price between the two extremes which is now happening, albeit at a higher level than the TSX launch date. The Slightly unfortunate aspect of this is that the condor share graph on TSX now looks to be in decline. I’m sure this will soon stabilise and both exchangers can head in the right direction together .
Making our resource look increasingly valuable !
It would be unrealistic to expect high volume in Canada at this stage. But make no mistake Ross Beaty will be spreading the word and in a couple of weeks things will be very different. We might even have permits by then.
I notice Donald Trump has included El Salvador in the countries he thinks are "Shitholes". I sincerely hope he isn't going to taint gold rich Nicaragua with the phrase ;)
I think we will catch up with our peers on TSX pretty quickly. I don’t think canadian investors are that worried about permits. The mood music is quite clearly that they will be issued fairly soon. On the subject of trading, I’m not selling any. I agree that it’s fairly easy to get a feel for this share but the problem is when it moves it will be extremely quick and I’m not prepared to run the risk of missing it. A JV or buyout could happen at any time. I don’t think it’s worth the risk even trading a few. Just a personal view.
Don’t forget nothing goes up in a straight line though !
Monday fits for me but I don’t think Canadian brokers have got enough stock. RB. Is almost Canada’s mining warren Buffett and it’s likely there will be strong demand from savvy investors who know they are getting in cheap. I’ve Got quite a few shares and between us on this thread it appears we pretty much account for all the free float ;) Enjoying the long awaited re rate !
Looks like the Canadian brokers have got their shares. We now await the interest from over there when trading starts. I would be very surprised if RB wasn’t doing a bit of promotional work. And let’s face it, it wouldn’t be seen as ramping. Condor is a brilliant story and very undervalued. One last thing, is it any wonder JM is a multi millionaire. Buying in at 40 now makes total sense.
