The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
L2 looking good for tomorrow (0.45-0.47 on the book) Well done 'holders' won't be long before we get excellent news on the JV and hence returns on our investment - Re:Cameroon well, probably the easiest/most confident well - in the history of drilling O&G wells!
Remember; as per previously stated in an RNS 'holders' may benefit with a potential future 'dividend' payments' ;)

cminhinnett... fantastic commentary on this afternoon's events...better than the Friday Matinee... needless to say I never got anything done in my greenhouse either..lol :)
Should be fireworks Monday, will the interview be live?...got to organise my day incase the wife wants to go to the Garden Centre...lol
ATB, have a great weekend and stay safe! .
Oh, btw. Don't get me wrong, I made thousands from RKH when they first spudded Sealion.
There are massive reserves there, I know this because the company I worked for (formally Western Atlas now Baker Atlas) were the first to extract hydrocarbons in the area when it was a Shell/Desire operator, but at the time it was deemed uneconomic to extract.
When RKH and BOR came along the POO was circa $100-120, I bought shares in both but remember Borders and Southern (BOR) were 94p....now look at them now less than 1p..... So there is opportunity there....if you are willing to wait for a Mad Max / Water World situation lol..
But as I said, what do I know...only a 30yr experienced Senior Subsea Engineer...
Believe me your money is safe with TRP....but as always DYOR..

I was in all the Falklands oilys (including Desire - if your old enough to remember ;).
1) Regarding RKH they sold 60% of Sealion to Premier Oil. PMO are riddled with debt and very nearly collapsed this year - and are still on a 'sticky wicket'..
2) POO would have to be at least $75-80 to even break even (deep water, very challenging environment)..
3) Contraventional: The Antarctic is fast becoming the 'last bastion' for environmentalists. Therefore it would take (IMO) some catastrophic world economic shortage of hydrocarbons for the world to agree with exploration/exploitation of the depths of the Southern Ocean.
4) Argentine Government still disputes the area (especially for hydrocarbon exploration) and the UK government are trying to rebuild economic relations - which at the moment I can't see them retuning to War Footing.
Hey, I might be talking out of my arse but this is 'My Opinion' only...DYOR. ;)

Ok folks, just putting it out there.
Apart from the big 'trade' we were slightly up on the 'buys' front.
My question is with the RNS... Ok, I'm a LTH, but trying to be unbiased.
1) Although a good update on 'the business' (I know CV19 has had a huge impact) but isn't it the issue with 'PI's/shareholders' the fact that MNRG haven't yet generated any funds since listing on the 'Main Market'?
2) We have been told in several RNS's that operations are progressing...but we don't seem to be any further forward.
3) UK O&G (onshore) not very much activity in this sector other than Witchfarm and Stockbridge (if anyone else can enlighten me?) But they are pretty much tied up.
4) Rocco being 'side-shifted / farmed-out' to a minor onshore o&g company won't do his confidence any good (considering his background) IMO.
Will we expect more of the same in the next few RNS's / months / years ?? ..... Please, can someone give some positive spin/vibes on this frankly 'uninspiring' post...and regain my dwindling faith. :)
Many thanks.

Ok, just 'googled it' lol...
"reversing trade
In futures trading, a trade that brings an investor's position in a particular contract back to zero. For example, the purchase of a stock index contract that has previously been sold short is an example of a reversing trade."
So in short, presumably the 'investor/institution' has closed their 'short' in MNRG ?.... If that's the case, it could only mean a 'good thing' although the SP took a hit??
I have no effin idea if this is the case.... anyone want to clarify??
Thanks

This 'reverse trade' 11:24:22 0.46 -4,789,675 -22.03k
Earlier this morning when originally posted as a sell, it brought the SP down circa 20%.
This surely can't be blatant 'SP manipulation. Can someone please explain why these 'reverse trades' happen?
Many thanks.
Agreed cminhinnett..... let the "short-term/day-traders" go and chase rainbows... I'm sure the MM's have already got some majors lined up to buy their shares... only 360M in circulation...I can see the SP dropping further to scare them off...then the bounce will come big style. :)

Rolf Gerritsen, CEO of MetalNRG commented..
"I am pleased with the progress we have made on the UK Oil & Gas transaction. I look forward to providing more news on this transaction and the Romanian opportunities. We are working hard at de-risking the Gold Ridge operations further and we are continuously reviewing other opportunities, which is an ongoing process. I believe we have an extremely bright future in front of us and look forward to reporting on our progress over the next few months."

"The new commercial terms are being considered by the vendor."... ;)
"Romania Oil & Gas Transaction:
As previously reported, the due diligence process on the potential Oil & Gas acquisition in Romania was completed last March. The oil price crisis resulting from the current Covid-19 pandemic and the price war within the sector, have required us to propose to the vendor alternative commercial terms, which are significantly different from those initially proposed. The new commercial terms are being considered by the vendor."

"long term sustainable production.".... :)
"Arizona Gold Ridge Gold Mine:
As reported on 2nd March the required permits have been granted to enable the Company to operate the Gold Ridge mine. During the lockdown period the Company has carefully reviewed available data and has reviewed proposals from US based contractors to carry out exploration work on un-worked ground, between levels 4 and 6 of the Gold Prince Mine.
These proposals are being pursued and Christian Schaffalitzky, one of the Company's Non-Executive Directors, and Rolf Gerritsen are working on establishing and implementing steps to help MetalNRG de-risk the operations and bring the Gold Prince Mine back into long term sustainable production."
Also looks like Christian Schaffalitzky (EUA) has been keeping himself busy during lockdown :)
