Whatever they can negotiate, difficult to predict but I would say that clon were in a strong negotiating position. They could be bought out, one possibility but more likely shared acreage.The other projects I am not following so can’t comment on that, more interested in the Tano 2A block.

It would be extremely foolish of the Ghanaian government to steamroll over clon basically setting a precedent that any legally binding agreement in Ghana can be ripped from underneath the feet of the owner. Believe me, clon is being watched by big oil. In any case saying all of this Imho and as per the facts out there, i do not believe that Clon will be steamrolled as they have made provisional agreements in September this year, Fact. As Tilburn also suggested why would the Ghanaian Gov risk a legal dispute with Clon whilst they try to sell out further licences? If they enter into dispute here with Clon then Ghana risk profile increases and other places such as Mozambique Look safer and more attractive investments.

I think it should happen shortly after Exxon ratification which should be this year before the bidding rounds start in Q1. I was expecting news before December.... we have the rest of the week but possibly this will be protracted.

All legal proceedings have been withdrawn and the Company looks forward to making further announcements regarding the Petroleum Agreement in due course.
My belief is that the above is true and that ratification will happen shortly after Exxon due before Xmas.
We were already informed that the coordinates had changed and probably why WB1 overlaps, but my understanding is that we have a larger block running further west. GL

Agree this is old news nothing new here, Clon does not fall into that category.
Clon could JV with Thulow who are looking to increase output in Ghana. 2019 is a big year for Ghana they want to drastically increase output. If they steamroll clon there exportation programme with slow down drastically due to uncertainty.

There are no certainties in this game but I think the probability of us PIs benefiting greatly is high. This is based on the PA being agreed. The proof is in what CLon agreed ie what block coordinates. We just have to wait.

Tilburn I have access to comms/info that backs up the agreed PA is with Cabinet and going through the process. Basically backing up and confirming what the clon RNS stated ...... talks occurred in September that agreed the PA and approved / agreed PA is with cabinet for approval and ratification. I have nothing that instigates otherwise. Obviously I am not the chap that ratifies the PA so when/if this happens I can’t say. I am thinking it will be before the bidding round in Q1. GLA

I have seen many small companies with blocks in the right areas benefit massively.
The point on Ghana nationalising Clons block, which I don’t think is the case and confirmed by trusted source, is not in Ghana’s benefit to to that. They would be saying to big oil that their blocks are at any time at risk, regardless of investments made. Angola, Nigeria and Mozambique would be more appealing; why would they then bother with Ghana with such a risk profile. At present Ghana is an appealing Country worthy of investment. If they screw clon it will be a country game changer, my opinion is that they won’t risk that. No news to the effect that Ghana have nationalised Tano 2A block therefore media very misleading. Do not pay attention GL

Totally agree if BOD were aware of anything suspect that Barry Morgan keeps on spinning there would have to be an RNS.! There is not therefore all GOOD!!!
