Today the Governing Council approved a direct grant, worth 996,380 euros, to finance the Santa Bárbara Foundation's 2021/2023 Training Plan. This subsidy responds to the agreement signed last year between the Public Employment Service of Castilla y León and the Foundation and its objective is the planning, delivery and financing of vocational training for employment offered by this public entity.
The 2021/2023 Training Plan, which is financed through this grant, was approved on July 23 by the Coordination and Monitoring Commission of the aforementioned agreement and is made up of a total of 18 training actions from which they can benefit. 266 workers.
The Santa Bárbara Foundation is a public foundation that is part of the autonomous public sector and whose purposes include the development of activities of interest to mining in Castilla y León in terms of promotion, applied research, technological development and training. For these purposes, it deals with the management of the Mining Schools currently existing and their adaptation to the needs of the sector, in order to improve the professional training of workers who develop or may develop in the future their professional activity in this field. .
