What do you base your investment decisions on?22 May 2025 11:11
AIM is a calculated risk arena.
First thing for me in the early days is the people involved.
DM I can take or leave. I don't think he is inherently a bad person, a tad over enthusiastic and naive at times and (speculation on my part) there because he is London based , has some background in Helium and has the contacts for funding etc. I'm still not sure why he was not included in the recent Grant of options exercise, but that is more curiosity than any concern.
Bo is a different kettle of fish and was the catalyst for my early investments. He has credibility oozing out of every pore and as any banker or venture capitalist will tell you, its people with that, plus significant skin in the game that attract the money. I think this is his big pay-day for years of experience, knowledge and contacts, and I think he has been lining this up for years.
Second for me are facts as the journey progresses.
Plenty of previous posters have done an excellent job of listing these out on numerous occasions but I am now confident that this is a top quality, large, clean and easily serviced field with great infrastructure, support and a massive market-place on the doorstep. I was already confident of the above when we were in the twelves and added significantly. Today's RNS just confirms my thoughts and I have added again.
Third factor for me is timescale.
I'm not in a hurry. There are plenty of shenanigans going on in the background at the moment with delayed sales/purchases, unknown sellers in the recent past (and maybe still active) and games being played with multiple single share purchases etc. This will prove a great investment for anyone not looking for a multi-bagger over short periods of time, although that does not preclude some significant rises in the future as the parts of the jigsaw fall into place. My money is on significant and sustained growth over the next 18 months or so.
Final comment. I make absolutely no decisions based on anything said on any bulletin board, social media outlet or so-called share gurus. They are entertainment only as far as I am concerned. I wonder at times about the lack of knowledge about trading, the apparent absence of any research on the investment and the antics of various people but hey! There you go! Some people obviously have a lot of time on their hands and nothing else to do!
Good luck to all genuine investors, although I personally don't think we will need the luck aspect in the coming months.
