The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Great to see direction change. Even getting live trades on LSE at the moment for ARB for some reason. I'm not in profit on my last 7 top ups. Just the next 20 or so to go...
Still has massive long term potential as scale up comes on stream and the backward looking statto's see July mining numbers and margins, both of which will be strong.
It does look like many of the alt coins and tokens are recovering over the last week or so. Hopefully that can keep going!
Volume has been very low for the last few days, struggling to get over 10k BTC. Price just seems to be drifting along in a narrow range until some heavier buying or selling hits.
A few weeks back it was regularly 30k plus, which may have been driven by Chinese selling plus of course microstrategy buying.
Hopefully BTC can hold above $34k this weekend ready for ARB’s operational update on Monday (most likely). I’m going for 175 BTC mined and margin around 76%.
Alternative guesses welcome as a bit of fun.
July should be a belter of a month though. All looking good.
If the below is right it would make sense for Arb to do a blog on the impact of hash rate on the business model.
With the hash rate now below 100 Ehash Arb account for c1.1% so as been said means they could be mining 10 BTC per day. Assuming the operation costs haven’t changed in that the extra BTC purely come from the reduced hash rate whilst ARB hash capacity stayed equal then the comparison is at $34k BTC this morning that’s $340k per day. The equivalent gross revenue to a BTC price of $61.6k based on their 5.5 BTC mining across March-May. At that BTC price the SP would be north of £2.
This suggests either I’m completely wrong (not for the first time) or the city doesn’t understand BTC mining and the key financial drivers of the business.
Yes, great return at the moment. Acala is the one I’m waiting for, that should be a great long term prospect. Should be bigger than the recent ones like Vega and Automata and Swarm
BZZ showing at $13 having just started today.
Up to $77 now. At least that’s one doing well during the current dip. I know it’s not trading normally yet given most are locked but it had dipped to $34. $77 = $65m!
Hut jumped c20-25% when they announced Nasdaq approval, from $4 to $4.8-$5. It then dropped back to $4.1 when they announced two days later the $100m placing. Hopefully ARB won't accompany any Nasdaq announcement with a similar placing when approval eventually comes.
I wonder if we'll get an update on Polkadot staking yields this week? KR1 released an update on 17/12/20 then on 16/3/21 so every three months, next would be due tomorrow.
I do wish they would update on all staking activities on a regular quarterly basis as it must now be a material part of their operation.
*Add not ass lol
I should ass that the third tranch that were sold via coin list were at $15 each and 1.625m sold quickly at that price
Well I’m sure they hold 843,000 VEGA. I only noticed a quote on coinmarketcap this evening, it wasn’t there earlier today. It’s now just under $53.
I assume they will do 10k for HydraDX and Moonbeam.
Of course they could also have bought more KSM from staking proceeds that they haven’t announced via RNS. After all they need a home for the c$6m staking revenues from Jan-May that they should have made. They will either have hodl’d DOT and ATOM as well as KSM or invested a one or more particular tokens they rate. I’m not expecting them to pay it out as dividends!
Coinmarketcap now showing Vega Protocol token at $55. I suspect it will settle much lower than this price but at $55 the 840k is worth $46m
Hi Jimmy,
There are quite a few that are close to following Automata. Vega Protocol (VEGA) recently sold 4.8m tokens on Coinlist in three chunks. EtheriumSwarm (BZZ) is listing on Coinlist on 15th June.
Others very interesting ones that must be close are: Acala (ACA), Moonbeam (GLMR), Equilibrium (EQ - their sale was in May but haven't seen a traded price yet), Plasm (PLM) zCloak (STN) and HydraDX (HDX).
I'm pretty confident all will be material in NAV terms.
KSM flying again, just like the good old days of 10-16th May!
