Had a bath and wash my hair today and, while I topped up the pond with the hose pipe, decide to use the vaccum around the pond to remove dead leave etc !! Sugar! The dust was so fine I am covered hed to foot in it - it was blowing through the catching bag.
Going to have a shower for the first time since February - hope I can balance ok - but came in and turned on the TV and they were about to show the final race in Swimming World Championship - the men's 4 x 100m medley relay - Yanks have never been beaten if they were not disqualified. Duncan Scott was the freestyle 4th leg and Adam Peaty on the second leg.
Peaty turned a big deficit into a finger tip lead which was snuffed out by the fastest guy in the world. Scott snatched the lead in the last 5m to beat USA and Russia. Wonderful stuff.

Scotty, got the old Hozelock pond pump working, the outdoor cable was the culprit! It provides a fountain, throws water 5 feet up the pond, and feeds our concrete tortoise which spews a constant stream of water out of its mouth. Water looks clearer already. Never realised how rubbish the new one was! New fish are hiding I have only seen 3 of the 10 in total.

Garage hasn't been in touch about my bike - they expected to finish it last Wednesday. Probably difficult getting parts for the new forks? Did I tell you the bill is going to be around £1500? Could have bought another bike with that, but it has less than 6k on the clock so will hopefully be worth the expense. Just hope my leg is going to be strong enough to keep it upright.

Met an old friend yesterday on a Poppy walk - he asked how Liz is? It is bike night on Poole Quay every Tuesday from April to September (can be up to 5000 bikes on a good night). Never been with a bike - mine might be of interest , you never see one any more? Perhaps I should trade it for a Ducati before it packs up :O) Are they easy to ride? Not in Motogp for sure but I guess none of those bikes are!

Chukkers, I believe it is the flow rates , not contracts, that is holding the price at stupidly low levels.
If they don't exist our money is in jeopardy big time. Our saviour would become other sites which Tony neglected because Lesedi 3 and 4 looked better? That would not inspire confidence?

We have been waiting for what seems eternity , but is only a few months, for the water levels to drop and none of us (who post) seems to know how long the flow rates take to assess?

I thought I had around 200k shares here after buying 166k on ASX , but then realised my other account (I don't look very often - usually when I trade) contains 411k not 41k TLOU across my accounts there. I need 23k to reach 600k (about £1200) which I ought to do in a wink, but what if the delay is because they cannot achieve decent flow rates? I strongly believe in Tony, but lost a fortune on HMV because I believed the FOX , their CEO, when he said sales were marginally down! Lies! Massively was the word!

In the future , eternity will be history and I hope we'll wonder why we worried? Meanwhile, where's your loo?

I know where you are coming from G, I had a friend who subscribed to Red Hot Penny Shares and Tom Bulford.
He was brilliant at making the case for AIM stocks becoming multi-baggers. What he didn't tell you was how long you'd need to wait for it. I think most of my trades were started from in the early days. You'd always get off to a brilliant start because his followers were so numerous they'd get in and, in doing so, (inadvertently to many of us,maybe) push up the price! He clearly could not do wrong until you twigged. But his arguments were good and not a con, it was just how long AIM companies took to become successful, if ever?

I saw the podcast for NCCL (did LSE remove that post?) from here and did not get it really. Combining with GridX who are specialists in another field looked a bit vague? Cannot remember the gist of it now. But it is in Mozambique not Botswana which Tony selected because of its stable government and wealth. I was in hospital with a patient who'd worked in Africa most of his working life. He said that Botswanans need never work because their wealth from diamonds could support the whole population. I assume the govt don't distribute it like that so it is fatuous?

I am happy to sit on this for another 2 years. SP will not go beyond 10p until tariffs are agreed imo.

Bit disappointed today with IG. I have performed 11 trades with them during July, enough for frequent trader rate of £5 on FTSE, but the cheap rate will only be available in August. Calendar months, 10 or more trades in one , allows it for the next.
I'd expected it to be the current month once 10 achieved. Disincentive to do more than 10 in any month.

RB, some stocks are obviously going to rise, given time (I hope SXX is one) , and that is the joy, for me, of 'gambling' on the stock exchange. There is no time limit on your bet, all it has cost is the yield on the investment, once you achieve your target price.

Bookmakers/casinos have time limits for most bets e.g. the time it takes the ball to settle on a roulette wheel, 90 minutes for most football matches, the time to reach the finishing post in racing, and then the bet closes automatically - pure gambling!

Shareholding ends, if you want it to, once the share price reaches your target - no time limits.
For a simple investment the reward is obvious, But on a CFD it will vary according to the duration for each intermediate sp movement/direction. These time factors make this a succession of gambles from day to day, win, draw or lose, just like roulette, and sports - pure gambling. IG state 83% of CFD accounts lose with them.

The benefit of a CFD is that you can bet on expensive shares which you cannot afford to buy outright.
The downside, for me, on lth is I cannot remember just how much I have invested in real money.
All my brokers use absolute values on purchases so if you buy £100 of a stock and sell at £150 and then buy again - your £150 purchase has only cost you £100 but brokers insist it is £150.

I think I have spent about £800k on SXX alone over the years, according to my brokers but not my bank for sure! My overdraft fees could buy some bonds in SXX :O)

My 76k buy was at the high of 10.5 (it goes up in increments of 0.5 above 10, and 0.1 below, I tried to get 9.7, 9.8, 9.9 and someone else was after 9.3 - presumably upped it to get 9.4, successfully, setting the closing price.

I left my CBA buy running at $81.9 and it stayed high.
I bit the bullet on TOU and took what was on offer, and if I'd left it on the table I guess any of mine would have dealt.
