astonishingly poorly run company. feel terrible for existing share holders.

saddled with debt in what looks like a vanity purchase. apparently no cost control or even measurement of marketing roi… i mean honestly, spunking a full years budget up the wall in one go, without realizing you’re heading for a 1% roi - pathetic.

they apparently don’t know what business they’re supposed to be in… high yield digital. not high debt fixed retail.

i can’t see anyway out other than a dilutive placing to get debt down and reset. at that point the william hill brand becomes an asset and the whole thing an amazing multi-bagger.

fire sale of pieces of the business isn’t going to touch the sides. they can’t cost control their way out of this.

honestly, the local coffee shop or car dealership is better run that this **** show.

I suspect they’ll hold back first hole assays. Wait for hole 2, then release them both.

Doesn’t make sense to release an avg assay. We know hole one is on the edge. I suppose they’ve already raised so wouldn’t matter to them if hole 1 was poor.

I’ll keep my eye on this for hole 2 plus any string sign they intend to develop further. As opposed to take a two tee break for lunches.

@FilltoSpill, absolutely. The irony is that even if I'm right about RP's real plans to just wash along for a few years again. RP might accidentally find a viable resource in this round of drilling! :-D Which I suppose he would have to exploit rather than simply sit on. I suspect he'd be quite happy about that. I still wouldn't be sending him a Christmas card. ;)

Yeah, shamefully there was very clearly a leak with the previous closes drop. As though the utter disgrace of the placing wasn't enough.

Absolutely correct @Winvestor that only solid Assay (hole 2 I'd assume) will bring this up. I doubt further positive hole two core photos, etc will impact much. Actually, thinking about it. If they did commit to an expanded drill campaign... really put that new raise money on the line. That would indicate confidence, but I'd have to know the money really was committed. Several drill rigs on site before I believed the money wasn't simply being stuffed away in Dubai.

I suppose the only other useful thing I can add - and this is as cynical as it gets:

Red Setter is only useful to RP while it's potential is unknown. He can now live off it for 3 or more years. Then come back and fire up the RNS machine with further exploration. I suspect this is is why they only scratched the ground to 350m depth a couple of years ago. I'm afraid, awful as it sounds, RP will calculate he's cached up now so no point drilling further and risking culminating on the Red Setter cash cow. Just like a couple of years ago, this will simply go completely silent.

It's staggering to imagine people can be so calculative in their unscrupulous behaviour... but I know one guy that never fails, RP. I only got back in here down at 0.3p because I figured RP's interests coincidentally aligned with shareholders at that time. That is no longer sure to be the case.

However, their previous placing was only a month prior and "fully funded through 2026". They already had enough cash to initially prove out the resource.

At the very least, they should have seen how cynical another raise looked and justified it based on initial cores tests/samples and explained where there extra cash was going to be deployed. That would have made the raise perfectly reasonable IMO.

It's a stitch up, plain and simple. I want to change my mind, I want this to work. But I'm not seeing any convincing arguments that are more than hopes and based on good-will... which the BoD doesn't deserve.

I wish I could say it's purely bad comms... it's clearly reduced confidence of the board in the assays and cashing in while they can.

An idiot would have known to justify the placing with details of a drill campaign in the placing RNS. What the BoD are choosing to not tell us is what they are really saying. Very frustrating and disappointing... all hoped this would be the one.

Simple facts are, we know hole one is going to be a duster. Very cynical to raise ahead of either holes assays… having already raised to “fully fund 2026”.

It’s further insulting to do so without offering any details of an accelerated drilling campaign. The history of WSBN is to tickle the ground with insufficient drilling, raise, then go silent on Red Setter for a couple of years while living off the placings.

Inexcusable and I’m out. Risk reward no longer justifies being involved with these sharks. Not when I’m bagged already.

The macro environment is so relevant to WSBN.

Buying a strike in WSBN is such a discounted way to get a position in Gold. :)

Interesting, not many rods on that loader. The site is clearly fully setup and trays at the ready. Does rather suggest they will be retrieving cores soon. Pretty quick progress if so.

It's in a bit of a malaise at the moment isn't it. I'd rather expected it might be dragged down below placing with lack of interest.

Actually, now I think it's more likely to drift up in it's current channel over next two weeks.

I've topped up with half available funds here and kept the other half to take advantage of any flash crash this week. I can't really see that occurring through.

This is going to be the worlds most boring stock the next week or so, then the most interesting :)

If raise was just for negotiation leverage, you’d do it after assays.

They’ve done it now to hedge against bad assay result and ensure their next few years of fees.

Cynical of them, yes. Criminal, unusually for them, no.

Does it really matter, no. We could have raised more on less dilution and have a stronger hand. But in the end, the assays talk.

Problem now is boredom without news. Though this share does constantly surprise me!

@Chinesewhispers - you might well be right. M pattern completing on the 1hr candles... which often is bearish, but in this case could just be consolidation at this near term support. Either way, who cares :D

Lucky to grab a bit now, maybe lucky enough to grab a bit more at 1p! Would be over the moon with that!

It smashed straight through near term support, but didn't hit longer term. Looking at the chart, next main support is bang on 1p which makes sense.

We'll hit that for sure before next rise.

I'm still holding... annoyingly as I did see this coming after testing 2p... scrabbling funds together now to avg up when it does bottom though!!!
