The environment minsters’s job is to listen to both sides of the argument, develop environmental policy and ensure the law is followed, not to pander to the demands of NGO’s.

Or the new minister could be keen to get things done and prove himself a bit like Trump did in his first few days in office?

I’m not sure I’d want the company “blowing its trumpet” in an RNS that JL has resigned. I’d much rather we played it cool until the permit is awarded or other material news. I think such an RNS could do more harm than good.
