There's no comparison with SOLG. We have JORC reports on Cascabel and economic studies signed off by a number of technical people with the right credentials.

One thing we've got to consider here is the issue that has been in play from the day hole 5 cores were brought up from the depths, and that is that the valuation being placed on the asset by certain key stakeholders simply isn't shared by interested parties. That's why BHP were sent packing and I still believe rightly so. If that is the case Bob will have to try and close any gap.

The other general point I'd make is that it's in markets such as the present where investors sell down. Bids are being hammered across many stocks all over the market. It's what happens when investors use leverage and then don't have the stomach or the ammunition when the going gets tough. Happens time and time again.

The worm can turn just as quickly. He'll be hoping it does and some before he needs to sell those shares, assuming he will need to sell them at all of course.

However, what you're seeing with GGP is their stock being better insulated to the harsh reality of the markets.

Let's be honest, SOLG have took the mick out of investors for years now and it's coming home to roost.

Gold bugs clearly like the prospects at GGP more right now. Can't say I blame them.

Jezzoo - that's all fair enough.

I do however think it'll be difficult to pay much more tax than were already paying. Just look at how the allowances across various taxes have been trimmed or slashed, CGT being one such example.

The tories have been pushing more and more into taxable grounds yet there will only be a fuss made if Labour up the rates by a percentage point here or there. Par for the course, of course.

I'm not sure how I can articulate my point further apart from highlighting the inconsistency.

My point is that anyone can be aspirational. It's not dependent on your background and family wealth. It's aspiration that stimulates innovation and together they help fuel productivity.

It's not about left this and right that. My view is that I've had enough of this tory government and their shambolic handling of the economy has damaged my belief that conservatives are to be trusted - the cronyism and theft from the public purse we've seen in the last 5 years has been horrendous.

I want politicians that prioritise the public more instead of saving their empty platitudes for election time and I want politicians who can be more proactive and flexible across a range of topics. So, I'm far far from convinced that "more right is the way to go".

Fort - that's my point. Volume is pony because there's nobody on the buy side, hence we're facing a slide into the 8s at any moment.

Look at the volume for the last 3 weeks or so and you'll see it has trended upwards. Not to spectacular levels granted, but 4-6x the levels we have seen at various points ove the last couple of years.

Plus, nobody is talking about trying to buy 10% in a day or two, but if someone wanted to buy 2.5% a month for the next 6 months that's 15% and only 75m shares a month or 3.5m a day.

It's doable if someone had the appetite.

So anon, it's ridiculously cheap at 9p but it could almost halve in price again "because there's nothing to stop it".

If 9p is ridiculously cheap then what is 5p?

If SOLG sees 5p then we're in a spot of bother, that much is for certain.

We're 9p, a measly £275m, we know the outcome of the election and yet nobody has had as much as a tickle?

There should be big support for the stock down here but sellers are still in control. That's a bit unnerving truth be told.

It's too easy to make posts saying "Scott/Bob said this and it never happened therefore he's a clown..." but we're talking about managing one of the more notorious junior explorers sat on, you guessed it, a tier one asset. It's never as straightforward as just looking at the surface and not adding any of your own thinking.

The situation changes on any given day with stories outside ours, the company's or its management's control. You've got to piece together numerous things that happen over time and join the dots dare I say.

In terms of your personal attack, I don't make many predictions. I've no desire to be seen to be right. One thing I did say is that I thought there would be a window in late Q2 or early Q3 this year. That has passed without any activity, probably in part due to the political situation, the extent of which wasn't apparent at the time. There's no ego, I am simply conversing as I always have.

It's clear that Scott and Maxit went into SOLG with ideas of flogging the company within weeks. It didn't quite happen that way. Presumably, someone somewhere has reined them in and told them to tick some more boxes, which they have now set about doing.

That's how it looks to anyone reading between the lines anyway.
