Ryan Mee, CEO of Fulcrum Metals, reviews FY23 and progress on the Gold Tailings Hub in Canada. Watch the video here.
What no one has picked up on here is a critical date.
I believe the 23rd January is the anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and Mongolia, and this year is the 60th anniversary.
Resolution on the LP would be a great way to extend those diplomatic ties and demonstrate the ongoing commitments to each others economies.
An RNS on week commencing 23rd January ?
Positivevibes.
I have over 4000 connections on LinkedIn.
Connect stop hiding. Engage.
Happy to talk to you on the phone. Ask what you like.
Until then you are not credible.
Curious.
Firstly I don’t have Facebook. A poster on here kindly forwards to me articles of interest.
My partner, (Mongolian) wrote to the activist originally as I genuinely believed she had environmental concerns. If she did and these related to water, herders and the local community I would have liked her to share these and I would have liked to of helped her. Other projects I work on in Mongolia have similar issues and concerns so they are not unique. They do however need engagement and peoples views incorporating.
She never replied which I found unusual.
From there when in Mongolia in September I did some further research and the real reasons for the delay began to become visible.
I do believe these concerns are currently being addressed, and I am hopeful Matad get matters moving forward next year.
In terms of the young lady on Facebook, my offer still stands. Ensuring Mongolian people are heard, benefit from projects such as Matads and get investment into their Soum is critical.
However what is not acceptable is allegations of fraud or bribery. The government has taken a very strong position on transparency and anti corruption. This is headed by the Prime Minister.
I have owned a share in Matad for many years. Like all investors here I want to see Matad succeed. However transparency has to be adhered too and the law listened too.
Positivevibes.
I am still here and still very real.
If you want to catch up and discuss notes, send me a message on my LinkedIn page, I will reply with my phone number, you provide your number then we can talk.
If you don’t take the offer up then either you simply don’t understand what’s happening here or you’re afraid to engage.
Your call. Waiting to hear from you. Two other posters have reached out to me and are now engaged.
Doc I agree. He’s a master at regurgitate information.
What he is not, is able to understand the real underlying issues, what those conversations are, and who is having them.
He can only spin what he reads, which unfortunately misleads others.
Still not seeing a clear pathway for Matad. Still not hearing a proposed pathway can be achieved to a specific date.
With ETT likely to take a while to flush out, senior government ministers have their hands full correcting the failures of the ETT management and their associates.
Some know the real reasons for the delay here and they certainly are not those being stated by the Matad board. They will know as do the British government until these issues are managed no progress is likely.
The PMs approach to bribery and corruption needs applying to Matad quickly to allow Matad to decouple itself from the restraints currently being levied against it.
Hamm.
I believe due to the new bottom in share price Petro Matad should call an emergency AGM and through a media based web platform take live questions from shareholders.
The Petro Matad board should be in full attendance.
Any questions the board cannot answer directly on the day they must revert with answers within 48 hours.
What better way to demonstrate a commitment to shareholders, ESG and transparency,
Dozz.
You are exactly right. Local stakeholder engagement must continue and form a corner stone of your ESG policy which Matad refer to as the way forward.
I would suggest a long hard winter in country, boots on the ground is where Mike Buck should be.
If Mike is not up for it then it’s time to resign and bring in some new blood who understands Mongolia and is willing to put in the hours in country.
Iamrich.
You make a reasonable point. However.
We were told very clearly there had been equipment procured and it was on its way.
1. If it’s been procured and expedited it will be traceable. Where is it exactly ?
2. If the equipment was coming from China it will be on a manifest. An easy document to review and one which can give clarity as to the equipments exact location.
3. Is the labour available, where is it, have visas been obtained. When will it arrive.
I assume the CEO was confident he could deliver this as he made reference to this during his LSE interview.
Therefore I don’t believe it’s unreasonable to update shareholders as we are well past the dates we were told to expect the equipment to arrive.
Hamm.
With the greatest of respect I work for the government of Mongolia. I focus on the role I provide to them.
I was at the mining event when in UB as I stayed at the Shangri la hotel. If the CEO was in UB I would of seen him.
I did not need to investigate as you state as there was nothing to investigate. Matad are invisible in UB and Mongolia. The question you should be asking is why, and not to me but to Matad.
I had dinner with other CEOs of other major mining groups when in UB and would of happily made time for Matad.
Matads continued silence is now becoming deafening.
Jim.
Greasing palms is not necessary nor is it ethical. The company has ESG standards and policies that ensure this does not happen.
Social engagement would be how I would manage this issue and I would be in country full time until it was actively sorted with all stakeholders engaged and brought into the solution.
If the current management group cannot do this I would be very happy to suggest a new management group I would be confident could lead and manage this.
Not even close to the top of GoMs list to do.
Plenty of bankers on site today interested in real projects. To the extent could not even get down the shaft.
Back to UB in an hour and lots of investment groups on the plane.
Matad trust me needs to sort its own mess out as no one else is interested.
Curious.
Send me an email. Richard.bowley@eot.mn
That’s my government email address. Happy to validate my who I am.
EOT manages the governments 34% investment in OT which to date has invested $14bill.
Slightly different economic size of scale to Matad, hence the confusion I guess why they struggle to operate in Mongolia.
Look forward to hearing from you.
