RE: BDC - insiders31 Oct 2017 10:40
I don't know how many institutions were involved in the discussions/negotiations and which of them other than Tosca signed a letter of intent, so I don't know, it wasn't discussed.
Ed referred to insiders as being the directors. At the current share price level, I think some of the directors may actually have bought a few if they could. IMO R1 was very good value at 3 and at the current level, it's really cheap. If they get the YuMe deal over the line and commit to Numis's forecast for next year then the SP will triple over the next 12-18 months. Granted - there's a few ifs and maybes in there.
As for the selling. Ed said if you look at the trades and volume it's all private investors selling. I have L2 and I have been watching some of the trades go through (although I don't spend my entire day looking at L2 like some) and it is all PI's selling.
Ed also said the company can only release updates and it's up to the market (in this case private investors) how they react to the news. In my opinion, I think there are more than a few private investors who have simply thrown in the towel and sold up their entire stakes - and I cannot blame them, it's been a rough old 3 years with no profit to show for their efforts. However, I think these PI's who are selling are maybe throwing in the towel a little too early. R1 is getting towards the end of the fight. If this were a 12 rounder, we're about to start Round 11. As Warren Buffet always says 'Wealth always gets transferred from the impatient to the patient investor'.
However, with all of the acquisitions and re-building of the business, I can understand that there are more than a few 'punch drunk' private investors that have simply given up.
For me, the current weakness in the SP I see as an opportunity to top up, I've been in and out of this stock since 2009 and the share price is now just below my average. However, I do see it going back up and I believe that when this industry finally settles down, RTHM will emerge as one of the leaders in this sector. I am still reasonably young and I have the time to wait. I know some PI's don't have as much time and we all need to make our own decisions. I'm also comfortable with the strategy the company has taken.
Since 3 I've been buying a few thousand more shares each time the share price drops by 10p.
Also, I'm pretty sure if the company want to provide outlook they also have to provide a safe harbour statement -
...This is a forward-looking statement..... things may be materially different than our expectations... etc etc.
Not something they would put in an RNS.
