On London's AIM market, shares in Xtract Resources jumped 24%.

The Australia and Zambia-focused miner agreed to enter a new joint venture for development of copper mining operations at the Zambia mining licence.

It struck the joint venture with the holder of the licence, Oval Mining, and Cooperlemon Consultancy.

"We are pleased to have concluded this small scale copper mining agreement with Oval with respect to the Mining licence. With the continued partnership of Cooperlemon, the parties will be seeking to exploit the high grade material identified in the breccia pipe and surrounding areas," said Executive Chair Colin Bird.

But the delaying tactic could also be the company who wants the waste dump wanting to know the value of the dump and Molefe mine before bouncing.

JLP have stated more than one company wanted to buy the waste dump.

I can’t see it being a small company.

What happens if the company announcing its partner for the waste dump and it is a global company or the global wants the whole company in Zambia.

The price will ping several pence and you wouldn’t have a chance to get in at 4.5p.

Evaluation of work completed to date has informed follow-up drill targeting at Kamativi and Bulawayo. At Bulawayo the focus is identifying concentrations of potential gold mineralisation in areas along strike, or under cover, and not accessible by historical or artisanal miners.

· At Kamativi further surface mapping and a second phase of drilling is planned to further evaluate the lithium bearing pegmatite potential of the licence.

I certainly wouldn’t want to be out when news comes out on the partnership for the 240 million tons waste dump of which 10 million tons was sold last year for $6.5 million when copper was at $9000

Looks as if copper is Starting to catch up with the other metals.

All those profits from other commodities have to go somewhere and what better place to put it in copper miners who are undervalued

Copper is in short supply and will be for the next several years the price will continue to climb like silver long term.
