The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Anyone had any recent comms from the BOD? This silence is simultaneously intriguing and unnerving. I can't help but feel something big is in the wings. I reckon we will IPO following grand challenge success. Also not clear on why so much negativity about it? Its not as if Aim has been good to us. Surely it represents the best chance to get the value for the company? Can we not learn the lesson of Motif Bio rather than be acres off by them?
10 risks in no particular order off the top of my head: 1. Scib1 Combo fails to achieve desired outcome in combo trial. 2. Company gets blind sided by a lawsuit making it difficult to raise any funds. 3. We don't win the grand challenge 4. BioNtech decide not to pursue TCR collab 5. CRUK pull out of scib2 study 6. Lindy has an accident 7. Major world economic event makes it impossible to raise money. 8. Modi1 trial comes up with severe side effects. 9. All the experts from various companies who have looked at the data have decided it isnt worth making an offer for at this time. Probability of them being better informed than Inanaco... 10. Ichor go bankrupt and we can no longer use their device meaning we have to start whole process again. The whole point of doing trials is that the unexpected might and often does happen. Otherwise you would go straight from pre clinical to market. You can say that there is no reason we currently know of why it should fail in trial, but to say you can guarantee it won't is just plain wrong.
Surely C7 is the headmaster, Inan, Wild and Boom are is the science dept, while Rat is head of discipline. Tosh et al are the disgruntled former parents who don't think they got value for money and are trying to become school governors...
Interesting to see the company we are in here!

Not updated since April so hopefully we are further along the line than halfway through due diligence by now!
Why we bother giving quarter by quarter expected delivery milestones...we hardly ever keep to them. Hope I'm proved wrong in this last week of Q2 but I doubt it. Does it really take 7 months to sign production order for Scib2 or 4 months to submit the IND once Ichor had done their's. The IND is most baffling as surely they could have had it all written up pre Ichor submitted anyway...
