Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
If you must know my personal details to satisfy your curiosity here goes.
My official residence and business centre for tax purposes is Dubai.
I have 2 farms just outside Piraquara, Parana Brazil
I have agricultural ,hospitality and developement interests in Tanazania from where my last post and this is sent.
It is currently just before midnight in Arusha.
Perhaps you would return the favour and tell me what expertise you may have concerning remineralizers
if you want to sight old posts i suggests you review your own which are only consistant in ramping but not in fact or detail but only
I believe I am the only poster here based largely in Brasil with agricultural interests.
I see and live with events here and having been duped by the BOD's and media hype to buying in at 9.65 I just want to dispel alot of the rampers false or misleading drivel they post here. It is certainly not in my short term interest to see the price low but in the longer term only honesty ,transparency and sales will ever get this to the price to allow me to recoup my modest investment.
Personally i am hanging in hoping that an efficient company will buy this cowboy outfit
The reason the coffee price here in Brasil has risen is because the crop was devasted in many areas by frost.
The growers are getting a higher unit price but on a reduced quantity.
The gross receipt is down year on year and the farmers poorer
Almost as important as the football is the increasing number of farmers that are now reneging on payments and to a large extent with the ruralist leaning governments backing who are encouraging suppliers of all types of agricultural supplies to extend payment terms in view of Covid. Our neighbour just got an extension on payment of 6 months for his new Deere tractor.
Ive noticed recent posts mentioning Agrocerrado again. One of the worst moves HMI made was falling out with this group.
On the ground here they were making good inroads in promoting the product and are highly respected in the farming community.
Targa, as an accountant you will understand the devastating implications that a tax audit brings let alone the
resultant assessment ,fines, penalties and interest .
What you are probably not familiar with is how the Brasilian Tax authorities conduct such investigations and prosecute
Targa123 : All the sales figures you list are higher than the official figures declared to the Brasilian Government
There are only 2 reasons for this but i will leave you to work out what they are
Swingy : If you check back my chats of over 2 years ago you will see that i recommended that KPF was also sold in 25kg bags which would be more attractive to the organic and smaller farmers. Also Brasil can be a windy country and there is a tremendous loss when tonnes of dust are dumped in a pile. At the time i suggested bagging i was pooh poohed by many here siting that there would be little profit for marketing smaller quantities..Has something fundemental changed ?
John, you asked for my opinion.
This company with this product hitting the market some years ago encouraged me to buy in at 9.65 which i considered was a fair valuation at that time bearing in mind it had descended from a high of 24.
Since that time the company has been so badly managed whilst paying its self handsome amounts ,
the Geociclo fiasco for one, the fall out with the best marketing arm they had with Agrocerrado, the unprecedented turnover of sales staff and the inability to meet even the most modest of targets does not bode well.
We all know their inability to communicate in a meaningful way the retail shareholders.
All of the above when the agricultural business in Brazil was booming.
Now there is an entirely different and negative situation . the Brazilian Reais has depreciated significantly meaning that there are 2 choices ,either increase the reais sales price which is not really an option or except the decrease in sterling/dollar/Aus $ in the companies reporting.
Probably the most significant change is the Covid situation with large parts of the country at a standstill . Of course farmers can still apply remineraliser if transport is still functioning but as there is difficulty in moving or exporting end product are they getting the income they need to pay .
HMI directors sited the virus as a cause of lack of sales one year ago when the pandemic was only minor in Brazil compared with the horrendous situation today. What will the true effect be on sales and more importantly income now.
4000 deaths per day and Minas Gerais right in the thick of it
This project had so much potential which has largely been squandered
Im holding in the hope that some efficient entity might buy out the company and rescue my investment because i believe that is the only hope
Get your heads out of the sand
Sugar, soya ,coffee et al are totally irrelevant when people are dropping like flies, government coup rumours , Presidential impeachment discussed, banks and major industries locking down, ports at a standstill .
lets get a meaningful statement from HMI about the impact of all these issues.
Last year you will recall they blamed poor sales on what was then a mild rate of infection. Just read the international news to inform yourself of the catastrophe that now exists.
These are out of HMI's control but they and posters here must acknowledge the impact these things will have
How insensitive can you get to suggest i am using Covid as a monetary tool
2 Close friends of our farms are under ventilators as i write. One of our champion horse trainers died 2 weeks ago and many others close to us are infected.
To suggest that HMI will not be negatively effected by the pandemic is ludicrous.
HMI themselves cited Covid as a contributory factor to poor results last year when the pandemic was relatively tame compared with the current levels now
I have no motive to short......quite the contrary as i am in at 9.65 (yes i was a real mug and swallowed all the BS)
i have posted to warn
Or this
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/27/world/americas/virus-brazil-bolsonaro.html
Dont ignore the consequences of this:
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/as-daily-deaths-near-4000-worst-may-lie-ahead-for-brazil-brazil-jair-bolsonaro-sao-paulo-covid-rio-de-janeiro-b1823349.html
As i said if you had been here when the price was 9 plus you would have had the link to my farm, the full details of the world acclaimed agronomist and the names of the professionals we dealt with at Agrocerrado.
It was at this point that i foolishly bought in ,and still hold at 9.65
My postings here are purely to warn those that are contemplating investing.
Go back over the posts and all will be revealed
It is very much against my interest to talk this stock down but i cannot with all conscience let others fall into the same trap
