The rate of theft from shareholders with free shares by bod and senior management runs at about 0.6% a year. Sharesave schemes are an entirely separate matter no issue with workers investing in the business they work for.

Tfe in all honesty monetary policy is a limited tool. Cut rates to zero and or print she'd loads of money. They've already done both. Neither can help with abject productivity, huge debt and high energy costs. I suppose they can inflate away the huge debt but that involves penalising every worker and saver pretty severely.

Agree wids still the euro is more screwed. All these currencies can't go poof at once. The dollar has its stay of execution indefinitely till either the euro is reformed or collapses completely. There ain't enough gold in the world for it to be the only safe haven.
