Profit after tax was 4.4bn here last time, expect roughly sane again. On a constant Share holding that's eps of 6.3p. with the 9 billion or so shares promised to staff over the next decade that reduces to 5.5p. So that's an EPS of 10.7 or 9.4 depending on how you calculate it.

What business does the government have providing houding, I'd say none. The net effect of social housing has been to kill new build in the UK. Every new build house in the UK is inflated by at least 30% in order to pay for the social housing quota on the site. Essentially it's just a tax on home to pay so others get a free house. It's divisive and frankly a joke. The other point to note is when stock was sold off it didn't disappear. Incredibly ppl actually live in the houses that were sold and many of the areas have improved hugely as ppl take pride in their homes. It's not some great wonder government preventing ppl owning their own home. Government should just provide prefabs or trailor parks and stop presenting the bill to the rest of society for hoiding mostly scumbags who smoke weed all day.

Debt is real but do sadly for uscsavers us inflation. Since moving off the gold standard the issue of debt has been printed away. I can't see this changing. QE whatever has just been the most recent variant in inflating away debt. A not so clever way to steal ppls savings without them realising.
