I think the Chinese price is reflecting the fact that certain parties in the West are gorging themselves on their rare earths while they still can.

Some will be protecting existing business, others will be buying purely to speculate on the future price should China and the US really fall out with each other - and they will and then prices will double from here no problem.

I recall seeing a guy storing "rare earths" in a vault in Germany some years back - it was a small amount so I guess it was one of the really expensive ones - I bet he's quids in now.

I don't think the broker target is out of reach here - dependent on the prevailing Spodumen price of course but hat's been recovering spectacularly over the Summer.

You're most likely correct re Jackson Hole and, yes, although I don't listen to a thing Rick Rule ever says, I did dump all my goldies already but will keeping an eye out for Gold beating $3,450 of course.

Yup - I noted my watchlist covered in blood the other day and wondered whether it marked a top of sorts re general economic wobbles in the macro - have cashed out of quite a few others this past couple of days.

Not sure - just an open question - market wary of more than a 10x in a straight line or??
