@swatton - I Can only refer to the point I made last night re debt/inflation eras - I'm 100% behind more debt/dilution to grow the company and its assets, it's exactly the right thing to do IMO, the timing is A1.

Someone on FinTwit mentioned that a firesale of Dugbe is now likely out of the window too and that's maybe right.

Remember, gold mining M&A season is well and truly underway, even GGP is popping on no news this morning - the sector is about to get very hot - sausages all round :)

Yup - you'll have to settle for a 4x instead of a 5x mate - gutted for you.

There are some notable points on 10%/20% holding etc so I'm guessing that's because of thoughts along those lines, controlling interests etc.

Nobody likes dilution but the money is ironing out a lot of short-term wrinkles here.

One other thing to mention as this bounces around my head - I wonder if our new African investors have any insight into Dugbe?

Remember chaps, a Dugbe sale almost certainly drops the entire current mcap in cash onto our balance sheet - it's not been marked to market at all yet but it's going to happen IMO.

Need to digest it more but at face value it's nuked any concerns about short-term cash requirements and paid Cassidy what we owe them (just £10 per oz!) as part of that deal so re my point last night about cash maybe depends on what we need to pay and when so that'll be part of it.

Re timing, share price and all the rest of the history - I suspect this is a case of nobody likes seeing how sausages are made but everyone loves sausages so dig in.

Little wonder the volume was so big these past weeks at 7s - it's not going/staying under 8p again.

Whenever they do that I just hit em with limit buys which often go through when you can't get a live quote.

That's all fair-comment I think.

Short-term cash may be an issue but they've just top-lined £11m in Q4 and expect similar in Q1 so they're hardly on their uppers cash flow wise - I guess it will depend on what bills they need to pay and when.

Kouroussa obviously mitigates risk here by making them multi-jurisdictional as does Dugbe although I fully expect Dugbe to be sold - I expect many of you will have noted that there is large-scale gold mining M&A kicking off right now elsewhere.

I'm not concerned about the debt - I'd rather have less of it of course but going into debt in an inflationary environment when you've already fixed the rates of that debt before it's no longer "cheap" and will quite naturally deleverage over time is often the very smart thing to do - even if you didn't mean to do it at the time (I did it and I meant it).

As we've mentioned before, large misgivings on the ops side of things and for a long time but maybe they've cracked it - time will tell.

One thing's for sure, it's the sheer amount of Gold here that keeps us in and buying more - if they realise only 70% of the potential here over the next year then we'll multiply our money without question and if Gold takes off as we all hope/expect it to then that could be a big multiplier to boot because of eye-watering amounts of FCF being thrown-off.

I think the next couple of quarters will fly by here, the sun is rising :)

And $300 is indeed very conservative - we could see 2-3x+ those numbers, especially when Gold takes off.

It deserved to be bombed out on the numbers given over the last year so it'll be the same going the other way.

Hard work done now, the rest of it should be relatively easy - happy to re-add at 8s today.

3x the current £33m mcap in profit :)
