If their posting so offends you, then filter them. But you don't.. you take it upon yourself to pursue them, across multiple boards, clearly rattled by their posting and unable to reign yourself in.

You've been clamouring for PP1 to "GET LOST" [yes, verbatim] going back months and months. Accusing others of alter egos, sustaining running battles across several boards, and generally lashing out at others. Now that your ally has been expelled, you're apparently rather upset.

Take it easy, for goodness' sake and stop getting so wound up. You'll not make any allies with that attitude! Although your post history suggests that you love slating others as much as agreeing with trading4good.

A bullying board member has been (seemingly) turfed off the board. One has been muzzled, but nobody else has been affected. Perhaps because nobody else engaged in such a sustained campaign of denigration against other users. Learn to accept it.

You seem awfully upset by this turn of events, spk999. Lashing out at other users a few times over the past day, even urging one user to leave the board. Why would that be? Why not just filter?

Over the past few weeks, many users have been embroiled in rows with trading4good, which is where the list comes from. I'm sure you are capable of reading, just as I am.

Concerning the theory that trading4good has closed his own LSE account, I'm not sure how this is possible. There don't appear to be any options to do so anywhere. Although, an email sent to LSE could achieve that end.

Concerning the theory that the mods have seen sense and cracked down on several users, I'm afraid it doesn't hold water. One just needs to search the other members mentioned, and they all still exist.

I will say, it is somewhat surprising that a ban has been implemented. On looking at the forum history, it seemed to me that trading4good almost had a hotline to the mods, and was able to have virtually any post and even entire threads removed at will. Any post or user which didn't completely toe the line was either shouted down, absused or the posts deleted altogether. I'm not exactly overflowing with sympathy.

For anyone who can't bear to read the postings of others, there's a filter feature. Why not just use the filter facility provided by the board moderators for precisely that purpose?

I did wonder for a while why lots talk about filtering but don't actually do it, and am now quite sure about it. These big "filter" talkers actively want and need to read the posts of others. A simple case of ego and the fear of missing out.
