Your constant derogatory remarks and disrespect of board members is reflecting your lack of intelligence and probably explains why you have an axe to grind against this company as you obviously had some dealings with them somewhere in the distant past and they recognised you for what you are. This is as Mickyinholland states "a recovery stock" .The question is how long is it going to take and is it going to happen after Speedy became a victim of its late over ambitious plans.The fundamentals do not make encouraging reading ,Its debt ratios are high and its return on capital employed is very low these figures make it difficult for the company to compete in a very competitive market place .The notion that knowing the problem is halfway to fixing it is not true as the fixing it part is 90% of the solution and that is where the issue of time comes in. At the present time there is over capacity in the Plant industry and those who stuck to what they did best are reaping the benefits ,Speedy is chasing its own tail at the moment in an effort to identify what to focus on and this can lead to a total meltdown of the management structures as moral and confidence dissapate. The idea that tearing out tiers of management and going back to basics will solve the problem is fanciful .If you were able to import a new middle east immigrant manager who knows nothing of the UK plant industry to every depot and train them in the fundamentals of what Speedy should be doing there is a good chance in two years there would be a significant improvement.The trouble is most of the management have years of service and have been through a lot of turmoil in the last three years and there lies the problem can these people be reprogrammed to behave like pioneers and trailblazers. I have my doubts and as the Plant industry is a people oriented game you need the right calibre of people to succeed and I believe Speedy have lost theirs.

Merely a boy, 20 years thats half of what I did and by the way Speedy did'nt buy Hewden they at that time were in a different category of Plant, as you say tool hire was Speedy's game and was the game they made real money at.You talk as if you invented the plant hire industry as it is today but unfortunately you are one of those that probably buggered it up.

I contributed a few months ago to the board regarding my views on Speedy and low and behold what I said at the time as borne fruit although of a bitter taste and I also made a mistake in saying Hewden were owned by Finning which some smart ar-e made a clever remark about being a new comer know all . I have to now put said smart ar-e in his place because I worked for Speedy when they only had three shops back in the Allen owned days and know a lot more about the Plant hire industry than you will ever know .If you have something tangible and helpful to offer the unfortunate people who have taken a big hit with Speedy mismanagement then offer it ,otherwise keep your gob shut and learn from others ,don't worry the rest of you, he knows who he is.

Sorry for that I am a little out of date and the fact is they are now owned by a private equity group but were put out for purchase by Finning which had recognised they were not a core operation after nearly fifteen years of ownership. That should send alarm bells ringing round the speedy offices as there are not likely to be any shining white knights out there ,as I speak the share price is plummeting.

Hewdens are owned by Finning UK and are a well run organisation as they were before the takeover previously Hewden Stuart previously Stephenson plant. That was pre speedy existence during the Stephenson plant era and they were hard nosed ex operators and managers who new the business .The dominance of so called educated suits in the game as brought the Plant hire game to its knees and the sooner they let the boys who grew up in the game run it the better it will become.

I do not believe for one minute there is a company in the Plant game would buy Speedy for any money. It is a basket case with a mountain of debt and a strategy that is leading to Liquidation.It as lost its Market leadership and is stumbling around in the dark room known as" what the f--- are we doing." The management is naive they have no perception of what it is like on the shop floor and are hoping they will solve the problems with big words that impress only them. If I were still in this stock and thank the lord I am not I would dump it now and get the hell out.

This as income effect on RNWH as a lot of the term contracts are based on upkeep of infrastructure surrounding the track and new trackside projects, station upgrades etc . If the government insist on budget cuts the expenditure will be cut back to essential spending only.

Just been catching up on this stock ,so sorry to see the collapse on July 1st I have made a few bob here a few years ago when the sp price was at this level and worked for them thirty years ago but in those days they had a Dir/ management that new the plant game this bunch of clowns with university backgrounds have never been on a building site or repped the hard end, so what you are getting is the result of inexperienced amateurs playing around in a game they don't have a clue about. This JAN so so stating excuses like we did'nt service our customers we did'nt concentrate on our SME's our IT did'nt work ,What is she still doing there. Those excuses are not acceptable cited excuses are the fundamentals of any business ,especially the plant game. I would not invest a penny in this outfit whilst the present Directors are in charge The end is nigh for Speedy unless they get someone who knows what they should be doing ,not talking about it.

Well done, I was wrong earlier in the year doubting the forecasts. This might now be the start of a positive upward trend for the sp.

The 2M share transaction on Fri 1st of May was Hargreave Hale reducing their holding to 12% from 13% and Investec increasing their holding from 4% to 6%. Investec are certainly stakebuilding and Hargreave Hale are profit taking as they have been long term stakeholders.The stock in the company is 65% owned by investment companies so any offers for the company are likely to be given the nod if the price is right,sentimentality holds no part in these guys agendas.

There as been some strange variances in the sp over the last month falling and rising as much as 20% and now a purchase of 1.5% of the quoted stock.I have been watching the RNS carefully and Investec seem to be building a stake,is there a takeover in the offing. I have said before this company is a very attractive vehicle into some lucrative diciplines, some of which are virtually impossible to enter . The run up to the results could be another roller coaster ride.

Although there is merit in what the brokers are saying my concern is the disposal of shares by The CEO and the finance director in recent weeks. The stratospheric rise in the share price 12months ago as been pared back since then and expectations are constantly being shattered despite what the brokers saying. I expect the share price to drop further and then rise when the half yearly results are announced but only back to were we are today.

Been a crazy week on the sp and a good oppurtunity for substantial gains if you were on the ball Monday with regard to the landowning in Florida this as been on the asset column for a decade or so and I would imagine with the US economy on housing and development still in the doldrums it will not be a significant factor in the short term.It is though an asset and with the debt coming off this year should enhance the balance sheet for 2015.

Alarming as it may look the share price fall co-incides with several other companies sp falling in the construction sector the fact that Renew as been re-classified into engineering services sector seems to make no difference when a correction is made on a sector as a whole.The other downside of the percieved future of the stock is the yield ,because of the rapid rise last year the ratio is now well out of balance and looks unattractive as a revenue stock ,that should not have had such a massive downside on the sp as it as because there have not been any massive sales. I think the oppurtunity to top up is very real and at these prices probably as I said last week unrepeatable ,but this is the stock market so it is always a risk.

Glad to hear your views coincide, I made a miatake when I sold out in May missing out on another 100k profit aftermaking 340k since 2012 it is easy to see now and as they say hindsight is 20/20 retro vision .I re invested else where and made some nice figures and are now back here hoping to gain on the future predictions and the discount. It won't go up as it as the recent year but it is a good stock and with 40% of the shares held by funds vunerable to a takeover and with some of its nuclear diciplines very attractive. Whatever happens it is going to be interesting .

The price of the stock and the recent fall is not consistent with the fundamentals of the group and is overdone .A reality check on the growth of the sp since Oct 13 is probably why the fall as occured notwithstanding some borrowings disposals and accquisitions. The oppurtunity to take stock at a discounted price as been brought about by these various elements and should not be missed ,I doubt the SP will fall to these levels ever again based on the Groups excellent stategies and forward looking Board.

The £9M was used to fund the acquisition of Lewis the water infrastructure service company so as been re-invested,probable reasons for the drop is lack of expectation going forward ,as the Dawlish job done by AMCO last XMAS was worth £61M and is not seen as repeatable income so when you strip out that from the figures and the £50m that Allenbuild contributed in turnover it is a minusof £100m in turnover already for next year.Balance the profit margins regarding those incomes and the Allenbuild was the smaller so as a profit ratio it should not affect the Group profit but that remains to be seen . Analysis of the group will show a negative impact and that as shown in the SP.

Not surprised, the brokers need stock and this is a classic way of getting it scare the **** out of small investors and buy cheap,there is a shortage of stock in RNWH and they have done this before.
