Institutional buyers would not be interested as its too small. If they invested 5 million that is 5% of the company which they would struggle to extract quickly if they needed to. Performance has lagged the competition for a considerable period of time. It is at the bottom or near it for smaller company trust performance over most time periods in the last 10 years so why would an analyst do a positive recommendation? What is needed is a general boost to small UK companies but that has just been torpedoed by Starmer. The only hope is for the board to pull their finger out, sack the current manager and combine with another trust which offers a cash out at or near NAV for existing shareholders. I admire your optimism, and I really hope you are right, but I am not holding my breath!
