He is absolutely right - would have been a serious contender but I would not have invested in an open mine project. BCN can get away with it because Sonora landscape no where near as important and much more easily re-landscaped over time. I am pleased for the people of that area of Portugal and hope that project cancellation becomes official.
Of course it will mean that Cinovec will have to work harder and maybe also our old Cornish Tin mines to (very similar/same geology).
