4m + 2m sold....
Indeed it is - again! I tend to ref the daily update to FCA https://www.fca.org.uk/publication/data/short-positions-daily-update.xlsx
I did see that. Good spot!
Yes - a huge 0.01%. FWIW, I am now a long-term HBR holder. Successfully traded both it and SQZ many times during Covid and got left with a pile of both I have grown attached to. After the election, electioneering policy b***&cks will subside and stability will return to this sector. It has to, surely? ANY HMG know we need NSO&G.
Tiny move back again in the right direction. Today’s FCA's short tracker reports 6.84% so down from Nov 14th 7.32% (nd yes I know this only accounts for net short positions of > 0.5%). I certainly hope to see more reduction in (ideally burning of) shorts.
With IV buying, what is the reason todays sells?
You can all seen this weeks RNS and the preview headlines and so will know full year results and strategy update will not include any significant surprises, good or bad – meaning Mondays update will not warrant big swings in SP. However, further closing in short positions (from such a height) will (obviously) lead to an upward movement in SP. Better still, triggering a short squeeze forcing short sellers to buy shares at increasingly higher prices. Thereby attracting the attention of other traders and investors who see the price rising and positive impact on sentiment. ASOS is our largest online fashion retailer. It is a nonsense to think the market cap will remain at circa 460m. If I am right, in days to come, the opportunity to buy at less than 400p will be LONG GONE !
I often check this forum in the vein hope of finding informed points of view on EUA investment. Sadly, the volume of comments are childlike insults and squabbles. Clearly I am now adding to that problem but come on, FFS, to all those who post this tripe, what is wrong with you? Just think about it first and put down your keyboards…
