Great article with Beckman Coulter taking the headline!

GDR may only be a small fish in a big pond but I don't think we'll realise what we have caught with the help of BC until we land it. I was expecting salmon but I think bluefin tuna may be on the menu. Tight lines! GLA
Will GDR have a part to play!

@sillybilly "Normal flue will probably do more damage". Probably will if you get coal dust in your lungs!
A flue is a duct, pipe, or opening in a chimney for conveying exhaust gases from a fireplace, furnace, water heater, boiler, or generator to the outdoors.
Flu is very infectious and easily spread to other people. You're more likely to give it to others in the first 5 days. Flu is spread by germs from coughs and sneezes, which can live on hands and surfaces for 24 hours.
This is an interesting article about Beckman Coulter and Sysmex working together on faster testing times in relation to hematology. They are obviously trying to roll out the same for Covid-19 testing with Genedrive. We already have good connections with Sysmex having recently signed a distribution agreement in relation to the HCV test particularly for the Middle east and Africa.

This sounds encouraging. Let's hope GDR are at the front of the queue!
In relation to the diagnostic sector, the notes state that, “we will maximise diagnostic capacity, including help to increase workforce productivity and develop Covid 19-minimal community diagnostic hubs”. The board notes also say that ‘we expect systems to use nationally-contracted independent sector capacity to the greatest possible extent”.

Sorry to change the subject, but a lot of thought has been given to the UK, India and the USA so I thought a bit of research on Africa might be helpful. I was just reading the attached article and was wondering if the new Genedrive® 96 Exporter would fit in with this approach by South Africa..

Incidentally, as a matter of interest if you google any three numbers between 100-999 and put the word cases after it, it will bring up a Covid related number for a country somewhere in the world ie "347 cases" I know you'll all be trying to catch me out but have a go!.
It really shows how big this pandemic is and the need for testing is not going to subside any time soon.
I think we can add the rest of the world to that as well! Hope there are no problems with both tests and become available worldwide asap

Another interesting webinar from 15th July with a link to the slides from the NIHR-hosted COVID-19 National DiagnOstic Research and Evaluation Platform (CONDOR) platform that will evaluate the performance of new diagnostic tests in the settings they have been developed to be used in.
Shows various steps in supporting IVD down the road to market

The Webinar took place on 15th July 2020.
I'm not surprised we haven't had any UK sales yet
If you look at the attached slides from the Webinar from yesterday when it comes to commercial impacts it just seems to smack of organised chaos!

I really hope we're on board for UK sales with our superior test. It is desperately needed! RNS to reflect that would be good.

I wouldn't hold your breath over UK approval looking at this article!

If I can join too that would be great. I'd like to see a bigger prize though. Perhaps 100 shares of what the sp finishes on after the announcement! LOL
