Q: What are FDA's priorities with respect to review of EUA requests for COVID-19 tests? (Updated 12/2/20)
A: We are currently in a different phase of the pandemic with respect to tests than we were previously, where many COVID-19 tests are now authorized. We prioritize review of EUA requests for tests taking into account a variety of factors, as discussed in the Emergency Use Authorization of Medical Products and Related Authorities Guidance, such as the public health need for the product and the availability of the product. We have, for example, prioritized review of EUA requests for tests where authorization would increase testing accessibility (e.g., point of care (POC) tests, home collection tests, and at-home tests) or would significantly increase testing capacity (e.g., tests that reduce reliance on test supplies and high-throughput, widely distributed tests).

I really am at a loss as to understand why FDA approval has not been granted yet, particularly in light of the last paragraph of the attached which the FDA published at the beginning of December

A word of caution before people start buying more on the strength of that. The assessment has been shown as complete for many weeks. We are just waiting for the dossier review to be completed which seems to be taking an age!

Latest update published yesterday. Still in dossier review but a further product code has been added this week so may take time for approval to come through.

The original product code was ID-CoV2-01-LPC (Low Profile Version). The fast plate version( ID-CoV2-01-FPC) was added last month and now there is a further code ID-CoV2-01-BPC- whatever that is for. Shows its still going through the process though.

Incidentally I haven't seen any comments recently about DB's bonus. That's because it will look like loose change in comparison to revenue from future sales! IMO

No further forward with WHO approval but GDR did add an extra product code about a month ago for their fast plate version so perhaps the file review is taking longer because of that.

IMO by pushing the results back will stop the sp tanking further and alloow more time for news. In the meantime, the saliva test will hopefully be coming to the fore, the DOD contract will have been signed, the South African 6 monthly cyclic procurement may give us something and we will be closer to sales with the AIHL test. I don't think its a matter of getting lucky. We have some excellent products which will sell
If this wasn’t going anywhere, BC would have blown us out by now, we would have been scrubbed from the Divoc website and our test wouldn’t still be under assessment from WHO.
I am convinced it will all come together, and we will see contracts and sales

DB has already notified the FDA of his intention to import and distribute the GDR test. Pending approval which I believe is now very close based upon historical applications, I think as soon as they get the green light sales will be in place to take off.
With India news still in the mix I believe we could see around 300-500% rise in the sp over the next 6-8 weeks while sales take off/ IMHO

WHO have updated their pending approvals today. Although still 6th on the list an extra product code has been added to the application. Is this for POC?

Lets hope so but also apply caution after what DB said in the Annual Report
"We remain optimistic about the full potential of the test, and our pipeline of sales opportunities for 96 SARS- CoV-2 test includes a supply opportunity to a Ministry of Health of European country which the Company is engaged with directly.
