Strip Tinning Holdings PLC - Birmingham-based supplier of specialist connection systems to the automotive sector - Reports award of UK grant as part of government's 'DRIVE35' funding programme aimed at supporting zero emission vehicle technologies. The grant was awarded alongside a consortium. "Strip Tinning's role in the interconnected cell assembly project is to develop the individual cell sensing and communication to the battery management system, in order to aid battery passport requirements," the company says. "Strip Tinning are very proud to be part of a consortium of such high calibre organisations as Jaguar Land Rover, Warwick Manufacturing Group, Lubricants UK and Novelis." The grant award to Strip is worth GBP857,000.
