$1.5B in trade relations showcased as NT heads to World Expo 2025
The NT has attended the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, to promote its $1.5 billion trade relationship with Japan, its largest trading partner. A 20-member delegation, led by Minister for Trade Robyn Cahill, represented various industries, including agriculture, energy, and digital technology.
The Territory aims to attract investments and strengthen partnerships, the government said, showcasing local products and selected Aboriginal artworks to an expected 28 million visitors. Key activities will include a BBQ at the Australia Pavilion and a luncheon event highlighting the Territory’s role in the clean energy transition, led by key executives from INPEX, Tamboran, Beetaloo Energy Australia, and Santos. Ms Cahill will also seek high-level meetings with Japanese partners to enhance collaboration in critical sectors.
