Pennant formation on chart still intact and ready for breakout, RSI still on the floor and oversold. Small free float. News as overdue as it'll ever be.
Everything's poised and perfectly in place - it just depends what transpires in coming days ...
Suggestion, take everything posted here with an open mind. No harm in discussing possibilities.
And please stick to the arguments and figures suggested rather than worrying about motive? We'll know more, soon enough in any case.
I can't speak for others, but no trading intention from me, just accumulation. And yes the coming update will provide some answers but if those answers are positive and help reassure investors then you'll be paying more than 6p in quite a short timeframe, so no harm in the meantime in some guesswork and pre-emptive buying for those that are brave enough.
It would be very good to have clarification on the 803 well situation.
Quite separate from any new speculation about new wells, there are three good reasons for buying now:
One is the old adage of the 'market hates uncertainty' - arguably given the long period of radio silence, almost any news at this stage would be something of a relief, just to have clarity going forwards. If it's neutral at worst, that should at least halt the recent slide. Nervous types tend to fear the worst. If an operational update reveals that things are at least ok, the more cautious holders would be less inclined to sell out of fear. The more bold would therefore see likely news soon, as a buying opportunity.
Second is the obvious one - approaching quarterly dividend.
Lastly, a technical reason - the 14 day RSI is under 20 and indicating this is oversold.
Agree with that. My thanks also to cc.
For various reasons, and whatever happens short term, I am not kidding when I say I am more excited for eventual prospects here than I have been for any other shareholding in the previous ten years. Meanwhile, we are rewarded while we wait, with an excellent yield.
Even if the dividend drops to 4p, that's still a 11.7% yield on current offer price 34p.
Nearby Ukraine will need a rebuilding effort and some point and this is a well-managed, almost boringly capable Company, able to navigate through most situations in a competent manner. Continuing to hold.
I tried asking this in Feb but had no replies so trying again:
Could some kind soul who's got a moment, please post (or point me to) a very brief overview of the Concert Party and their thoughts on CP influence over future strategy? I'm intrigued by the Al Marri family of UAE who are fairly recent holders.
Reason for asking is that I've heard comments saying that strategy might be entirely different for these already wealthy families and I'm curious about the implications especially for any 'endgame' here. Thanks.

Brief mention here in charting update on Friday, target 11p by end March, skip to 5:25 to hear commentary on CASP purely from a charting perspective:

Wish there was an edit facility on here! I wrote 'divide' but typed the multiply symbol. Corrected below, figures all in pounds:
An easy way of checking you've calculated right is multiply the monthly div by 12, divide by current offer price and you get the yield which should be around 6.91%.
0.000444 x 12 = 0.005328.
0.005328 ÷ 0.077 = 6.91% yield.

Also, is it true that Clive only has his shares as a result of salary sacrifice during Covid and he hasn't bought otherwise? TIA
