Heartily agree with you Ravenox. Too many false dawns to get carried away with euphoria. Lets get some news trigger on the back of it and push us up into a long term uptrend, then we all profit handsomely for our patience.
Pride comes before a fall masterRSI. You aren't teaching anyone here anything, you are talking down to everyone. It's like a gambler who has just won a bet on a horse race, telling the bookies that he knows best and will beat them everytime. It's childish. Anyway, moving on. Nice to see it starting to recover at least, long may that continue.
MasterRSI, such comments wont gain you much respect on this board. Also reading through your posts you have not exactly been great at calling the price moves. By all means be happy with a positive trade, but please spare us all the holier than thou look at me I am an amazing trader routine, as your prior comments speak for themselves. It doesn't gain you anything other than dislike taking such an attitude.
No offence MasterRSI but that only applies to people who invested at 220p/th. 99% of the people who are invested in NCYT are at a much higher level. So this 15% return you are banging on about only applies to johnny come latelys, or technical traders who time it perfectly (your name suggesting you are such a player). Investors have bled money this year, so apologies if we don't get excited about a 30p price gain when we have seen a 1000p drop...
Gazman, well if a big soverign investor comes in and gives Novacyt a few endless billions to build up the business ala Man City then my enthusiasm would indeed be much greater. For now I temper my enthusiasm with the reality that I am invested at a much higher level, and whilst i see my investment recovering and indeed expect to make a good return from it in the future, a 5% rally to 250 doesn't excite me greatly. If it does it every day for a few months then indeed I'll be a happy camper.
There has never been much in the way of shorting here, its simply been the endless battering eroding holders nerves. However we are now so low that the price is not even worth worrying about anymore, which in itself is a sentiment driver. When people stop giving a f about the moves then it might finally start to show a semblance of fundamental valuation by recovering. For now its switch off and look at other things.
But daily volume is insignificant. When it turns, any profit taking from those buying in at these low levels, will be more than offset by people buying because it has finally turned and broken the trend. A few 10-20% profiteers is small fry in the overall scheme of things, when it turns properly. If your concerns held true no stock would ever recover from a fall as people would always sell on the way up from a bottom. Contrary to what Nova has shown us this year, stocks can actually go up at some point.... Anyway enough from me for the evening, have a good one folks.
I'm not sure many of us consider 237.4 as a generous price, but it's a start. With people so heavily underwater it's basically created a big gap between averages and the current price. Whilst that gap may not appear on a chart as such, it exists, in that very few people will look to sell between here and c600p. Needs a trigger to cause the rise, but when it does I expect to see chunky opening gaps starting to become the norm.
Like I said..."We've all been there". I don't need my hand holding Philip, I'm a big boy. I've made my decision and I'm happy with it, I dont feel a need to go soul searching. I suggest you come to your own decision whatever that will be, maybe you should spend less time focusing on how other people feel about their investment and concentrate more on yourself...
It's interesting, I make a post saying basically hold on and wait, and suddenly lots of different posters feel a need to get overly negative. It's very interesting indeed. Usually signals a share price is going to turn imminently.
Ah kiltedscotsman, Ive missed your attacks on me budy. How have you been, miserable as always? Anyway green bin for you mr I will trawl through all previous posts of fellow posters to make a spurious post, yawn buddy, yawwwwn.
You made a bad investment decision and fell a need to rage against the world about it. We've all been there. But at the end of the day no one is forcing you to hold. If you don't like it sell up. If you do like it, shut up and wait.
Yes Philip I am. I dont feel the slightest need to badger the company for an update that they wont and indeed shouldn't provide. if you arent happy with your investment then sell it, its an easy solution.
