I would support increased spending on Defence. Very much so.

In fact, i would probably place defence spending ahead of the NHS at the moment. 3% target.

I dont know what they are doing. The increased tax burden on what were already vulnerable sectors is just daft imo.

The other good thing about shopping in the town is you can get a pint and a packet of crisps when finished. These retail parks, they are all a bit bland.

Yeah, lots of people prefer those places kenny.

I just like the vibrancy of the city or market town, the architecture, quaint green spaces, and independent shops.

So i do my bit to resist, lol.

A town i visit reduced parking costs substantially and is now thriving relative to its neighbour - who increased parking costs and is now a charity, loan, vape gambling den - serviced by 100s of largely empty buses.

Flip some of the tax burden from bricks-and-mortar stores onto online outlets. The high street then becomes competitive on price. Small shops can undercut online offerings. All those empty shops get filled, but with reduced rates.

Free parking, or very cheap parking, with routes to and from cities and towns which prioritise free flowing traffic rather than bus lanes and the congestion they cause.

Plant trees wherever possible, with benches underneath, free clean well light public toilets, and a few town/city wardens to oversee the smooth operation of the towns amenities, prevent bins overflowing, smile and assist the public.
