Thanks Cruis1 I'll have a look at that tonight :-) Any idea what it's called ?
Off to Cine and ODN for a 3 movie marathon now - ET IMAX + Casino Royale + The Forgiven :-)
@Bonkers I'm not referring to celebration of the recent rises to 5p (although great for those in at 2p!), I think it was about this time last year when you pointed out we shouldn't celebrate a rise back into the 60s and 70s when we have fallen from the 120s, on this I agreed with you.
OK so maybe "ramping" is the incorrect word to use and on googling it I find that is actually an illegal activitity lol! My apologies I will no longer use that word I don't agree with doing that either, let's just say then I'm trying to generate interest to catch the eye of Reddit users who are unaware of our situation.
I'm no expert on Reddit, I'm just learning. All I have done is to research how a stock becomes MEME stock, I posted some useful articles on here a few weeks ago as to how this process began for GameStop, followed by AMC and BBBY. We are now in a very similar position to AMC at its lowest point when it was noticed by the users on the r/wallstreetbets group and it's that part I'm interested in - how does CINE come to their attention given that there is potential for them to make money and to raise the SP where they have succeeded in helping save a cinema chain before. Most stocks seem to have their own group so you can talk up CINE positivity all you like on r/CineworldStocks it won't make any difference until it comes to the attention of users on r/wallstreetbets (IMO). Now over the last few weeks interest has been growing on r/CineworldStocks and I know this because I have been quietly watching it in the background for months, FigTreeHarrys post on here making a case with 15 points to believe in CINE caught their attention and was reposted there. It then appeared on r/wallstreetbets and is what happened with GameStop. Whether or not you agree with the points in Harry's post it is significant that this came to their attention if CINE is to become a MEME stock -2 articles in the media last week have already referred to us as such.
I admit I maybe wrong and completely wasting my time. I know since I started posting over there at 2p my posts made no difference to the rise to 4-6p and it would have happened anyway. However the more interest in CINE gained on these 2 groups the more chance we have of becoming a MEME and the SP rising back to where we need it to be or even beyond. I think we at the point where any possibility of saving Cineworld is worth looking into
#Percy Throwers
FigTreeHarry, as far as I can make out the WSJ post that brought us down is rumoured to be written by a LTH who wanted us down so low it would be impossible to dilute? It also shook off the shorters
I went to Cine this evening to see Tad the Lost Explorer (I'd seen everything else lol) and it was packed in the foyer, great to see the tills taking in money
The links to your posts on Reddit will open in a browser as on here although Reddit is much easier to use if you also install the app on your phone. It would be fantastic if you joined and started posting there too :-)
Homes and Gardens websites?! I have a Percy Thowers garden centre down the road so I dont have to use those lol
@Bonkers I didn't say you turned on Mountainous I was referring to appearing to turn on me; you said you "hoped no one listened to me". In fact the SP has more than doubled since I started posting on the 2 Reddit groups (and not using this profile name)
There are many CINE derampers on there mate just as there are on here and they just are worth talking about, they are just another to add to my filter list and best ignored.
The best advice for LTHs like us now is while the SP is hovering around at 2p-4p is to double your holdings and lower your average as much as you can afford to (I'm sure you already know and have done that!!) We then have a quicker escape route from this nightmare :-)
I actually agreed with you on not celebrating rises when we have lost so much from a much higher SP but it didn't think it worth putting anyone down over when they are feeling good about a rise no matter how small, in fact I think that is how the PrettyWild argument started? (forgive me if it wasnt I've had so much bad stuff to deal with mentally since my memory is fading)
No of course you don't have to agree with any ideas a LTH comes up with but these are desperate times where I think encouragement is needed. IR relations aren't great at emails I agree and often get ignored but it's a nice idea to try and join forces with CPs shareholders on their board to try and start a campaign - the more emailing IRs the better chance from both side may begin to take notice. Better to try than not to?
@FigTreeHarry no worries. Have you looked at the links yet as they are your post being reposted and gaining attention? I gave you credit in the comments as the poster didn't
@Bonkers0801 I'm surprised at you turning on fellow LTHs who are trying to actually to do something to help turn this terrible situation around, I realise nothing will probably come of it but at least I'm trying. Without hope we have nothing.
I didn't say since when I have been ramping on Reddit did I? The past few weeks is since the crash and since I started ramping it's doubled. Go over and look for the interest - I can see it even if you cant.
I have long respected your posts but now every time someone comes up with an idea which could help us like Mountainous did yesterday you put it down, every time someone is excited about an SP rise you put them down and you pretty much drove PrettyWild away. I do get the impression now you enjoy an argument, now is not the time for it
I don't want to fall out with you but please give this bitter cynicism a rest mate, we are in the same boat
Yeah FTH I already looked at that it only shows last few hours buys and sells ? Combined volume isnt very useful lol
Do you have a volume split of buys and sells ?
Is the volume all buys ?
@FigTreeHarry funny you should mention that, when I spoke to a group of CINE employees in the foyer last week about the situation they all said they were going to buy shares at 2p!
Exactly Chuggernaught that's what I've been doing too on both r/wallstreetbets and r/CineworldStocks
LTHs and our new daytrader friends please help by installing Reddit, creating a profile, joining the above groups, liking (up arrow) to increase visibility and posting comments (speech symbol) on any positive CINE posts (especially the FigTreeHarry reposts on both groups)
Your post is now also noticed on r/wallstreetbets FigTreeHarry

Interesting they are calling us a meme stock now alongside BBBY and AMC! Can anyone read the full article?

Great post FigTreeHarry :-)
Were you aware it's gotten attention over on Reddit ? :-)

@Mountainous yes I fully support your idea of a presence on the Plex board as I think anything is worth a try at this point, although I would assume CW and CP are already talking? I just scanned their board quickly I assume you haven't already posted ?
The without prejudice discussions that weren't allowed to be mentioned but were mentioned (and slapped down) a few times in the court case - I always wondered who pulled out and my guess was always Plex being greedy?!
I do think (as Ive mentioned several times now) the best thing we can do is to ramp up CINE on Reddit until r/wallstreetbets start to notice us and we become AMC 2.0 being is a similar situation to when they became a meme stock. I have been ramping on r/cineworldstock for a few weeks now and interest in buying is growing
I hope so Mountainous, I may even be able to afford a season pass for Mr Mark's Special Bus Co. lol
# take the I out my first sentence it makes no sense, I didn't cause this lol
@Mountainous OK considering the anxiety I caused by the current situation!
I sold some of my last remaining BT shares Tuesday and like you I've just over doubled my CINE investment @ 2.2p bringing my average down to 34p from about 69p :-)
Nice to see you back Mountainous, hope you are doing OK ? :-)
