Yes I am playing it a bit safe atm, 30% in the stock market and 70% in the bank, don't want to be too heavily invested in the market as I have plans for the money beit car purchase or pay off some of the mortgage or start a food van business ..
I bought Dlg because I had been with them for a few years as a car ins policy holder when they were competitive and the dividend was quite good so thought the dividend can pay for some of my insurance policy but things have changed since, as you know Dlg have made a few wrong decisions and I am no longer an insurance policy holder with them and it would be nice to sell my share holding also and put the money elsewhere, Lgen or maybe a fund, somewhere relatively safe and luctrative haha
Would be interesting to know how much retail investor money is in the market...
Bank interest rates are not too bad at the moment, 4.75% in my case, atleast ones capital is at less risk in the bank, in these slightly uncertain times, but rates are looking like might decrease soon hence my wondering what peoples thought were on the subject...
Is it wise to reinvest in the stock market now because when rates fall money might flow back into shares from savings accounts, so shares might seem cheap now compared to 6/9months time ...
I pulled some of my money out of the stockmarket and put it in the bank last year, still hold some DLG which I bought a few years ago, so sitting on a little loss still, decided to buy when I was a car insurance policy holder, now with Aviva..
So I was thinking if interest rates decrease, money might flow into stocks again and with a bit of luck some might find its way into DLG, so I can sell the remainder of my holding..
Keeping my LGEN though, almost as good as MNG for dividend payments..
I wonder what peoples thoughts are regards interests rates this year?
If they reduce rates will money Flow from banks into stocks like DLG ??

Think you're on the wrong board mate, this is LGEN...
Similar situation to me then it seems Trout, So it's not just me then, maybe they have too many customers and they keep crashing and putting DL business at risk haha, it is just about money though isn't it you just compare cost's and companies and then make a choice, was quite happy with DL was prepared to pay 23/30 more to save hassle of switching, but it was a no brainer saving 600 in switching to their rival, I do hope things improve at DL, but for now I'll sell out if my buy in price is reached, and invest in Aviva instead...
Has anyone else been insured with Dlg and seen their premium increase significantly and switched?
Dlg shareholder but not insurance policy holder anymore, was with them for about 4 years until 4 months ago, now with Aviva, DL wanted 900 Aviva only 300 and the comparison websites in the 300's, where are DL getting there customers from??
Totally agree, I would much rather be in a vantage than on public transport in a face mask :-)
Maybe one day I'll be able to buy a vantage with the profits from my AML holdings

No reason why you can't buy some at 55 50 45 40 should it get that low, if you buy in at 55 and it rises then atleast your'e invested, just be mindful of how much you allocate at each level, in other words don't go all in...
