Sorry Avocet123, but I have to disagree,

in my humble opinion food drives the pub market in this era, never in the 70's, but definitely now.

The young are not like the young of the 70's/80's they don't "do pubs" like we used to.

Most JDW pubs have predominantly older generations and in my opinion JDW are doing great.

"the latest young generation is starting to pick up drinking back up again", well they have always liked drinking in my view, but in trendy "in places" like we used to do, that isn't JDW in 2026, for a start there is no music ..

and in my day as a youngster that was essential to me.

In my youth and for decades after, the pub was a massive part of my life. Now I just think - this isn't value for money anymore.

So I have my own bar at home, still visit pubs with the blues of course and I agree Carrington, JDW with TM in charge will see their valuation rocket as the public start to look for value for money.

Case in point TRC, high prices, footfall dropping, share price gone.
