The DTU in RPs view now low risk I feel the litigation on well bashing coming to the front has pushed this project to the forefront. Maybe 20 DTU tests were required before this happened ,companies want to drill wells now(oil prices) but don't want the costs of litigation(fines and court costs). I would think the fines will start to increase if the is a solution to negate it but you didn't use it.

Litigation in the USA can become painfully expensive, the fines plus all the legal costs are surely all in favour of a solution to avoiding it.

Saving $200K in damage costs currently, plus the fact if the courts realise this damage is avoidable and the option is not taken I think these fine may's well rise significantly.

The legal issue will enhance this imo. With the court rulings protection of wells will be basically come mandatory,or face court action if damage is caused
