The goal of a proxy fight is to replace board members who are not in favor of the takeover with new board members who would vote for the takeover. This is done by convincing shareholders that a change in management is needed and that the board members who would be appointed by the would-be acquirer are just what the doctor ordered. Once shareholders like the idea of a change in management, they are persuaded to allow the potential acquirer to vote their shares by proxy in favor of the new board member of their choice. If the proxy fight is successful, new board members are installed who will vote in favor of the target's acquisition.

If all else fails, a controlling share of the target's stock can be purchased publicly in the open market.

Personally I believe there’s someone accumulating shares! Have you noticed the big buys? And I believe it’s AE, in a bid to buy the company!

AE are not some p*sspot company they was made out to be! They actually currently hold 20% of the oil/coal trading market... And well we are all well aware of the green revolution by now, so, so are they! They are going to have to make a move somewhere soon, why not mining? Why not copper!

The rest mine was at advanced stage years ago, but they opened another gold project instead of going for the nickel!

The capex of that underwater mine is 1 billion! And it’s been for sale for years! I wonder if anyone will take it on? Because the company who explored it, who are miners themselves, have decided not too!

It takes 30 years to find a valuable deposit, then a further 10 years to develop a mine! And because of the last decade of slumps, there’s been no incentives to bring many projects to the fore! But alas, the demand is going to increase fast..... I wonder where this will come from?

Don’t mean to point out the obvious, but the only reason ‘we’ ain’t producing anything yet, is because we don’t have the finances needed too! But that will change!

And the strange selling and buying continues! 5 £10k sells gone through this morning with a £17k buy so far! Hmm... Which is it, is AE exiting or knocking the share price to accumulate more?

I’d be happy with 6-10p but I think this will go somewhere between 10-20p! I think that’s what TM will let this go for!

Good point Blondebeard! It would be an embarrassment! They clearly wanted it to begin with, and with the need for oil and coal set to drop in the next couple of years, and price of copper to rise, this really is a no brainier! This has takeover written all over it! I think AE will show their hand soon!

Did you know Aeturnem Energy is owned by a billionaire? Who atm holds 20% of the global oil and coal trade! Who will no doubt, need to diversify! I wonder if they will put in a hostile takeover bid?

Of course the Russian Federation is supportive of foreign investment! It’s economy I pinned on oil and natural gas and every major economy globally has signed into an agreement to go green by 2030! That means Russia needs to act now, and the only way it can do that is to support foreign investment, because it definitely can’t afford to go it alone, after years of a decline in gdp per capita with only a minor recovery! And with Covid, that massively effected oil price negatively, they’ve likely took another massive hit!
I’m not worried about the TEO personally! I’m happy to sit back and whack this is bottom drawer for a while! I could be ‘dreaming’ but ain’t we all!
