I think you’d have to expect building timelines to slip, they usually do. The foundations timeline looks short for that size building but they must be fairly confident putting it out there on the slide. Fingers crossed.

Remember that's a valuation of assets per share not a share price prediction, there's a relationship but not the same thing and worth taking with a pinch of salt if the brokers are not independent. They're helpful but maybe err on the side of caution when reading them.

I think installation in 'September-October' is consistent with completion by 'mid Q4' so I'm not automatically reading any delay into that, just not really expecting to see the fruits much before November monthly update.

it's possible, although I suspect it's more a case that the company is still under the radar for most buyers until there are results to report. There are buyers but the gains are still be soaked up the big sellers each time it rises. Hopefully that will wear off and not cancel out the drill news.

agreed, a few more coins than we mined in June will be a positive/satisfactory result for September, but it won't be anywhere near August numbers. Exceeding a realistic expectation is always better for the SP than setting an unrealistic one.

any chance could you could answer on the thread instead of starting all these new threads with my ID in the title? It's confusing. Monthly operational updates don't add any substantial new news and wouldn't be a problem for the 'quiet' period but as I said other companies seem to have pretty much ignored the rule in the past.

yes, we can guess some there may be additions through September and October (no evidence of any in August) but unless they were there on 1 September the full effect won't be evident in the month update for September and even say half come on stream that's unlikely to compensate fully for the increased difficulty so we would expect the monthly number to be lower than August, I think.

The NASDAQ rules require a ‘quiet period’ of 40 days from IPO registration, during which time companies are not supposed to release news material to the share price that was not included in the prospectus. I guess all the plans in the prospectus could be updated (like the first machine order for Texas announced last week) and in practice, other companies do appear to breach this rule.

I would be surprised if it was much more than June and very surprised if it was near 200. Other miners are down and we know from last week’s update that the additional capacity is planned for completion before by end of Q4. Previous batch were going to be September and October, so even if any came at the beginning of the month they will be installed later in the month and the amount added will not have full effect on results for a month or two.

I would not over anticipate the monthly update. Mining difficulty increased and we’re still in the ‘quiet’ period of the IPO. It will might be uneventful. If we match the June mining figures that will be good (167). It will be interesting to see if we sold any hodl, and whether there’s any increased mining capacity installed. Other than that I imagine it will be reassuring but fairly quiet news.

yes but we'd need different machines for ETH, and it's certainly possible that high intensity ETH mining will cease in the next year anyway with the transition to POS

It's challenging for all early growth companies to make the shift to mid-cap and large-cap leagues. It's easy for them to get fleeced by the market institutions along the way if they lack experience in major league. It was really good to see some of the financial expertise added to the board recently but agree that Alex has appeared to be out of his comfort zone or retained above his pay grade in recent times.

That's what HUT are doing but I'm not sure we have the machines for it
