Well, one things for sure, they definitely can't be accused of rushing into off-take agreements...
A little more progress might be nice though, given the number of times this has been alluded to/promised/indicated in investor presentations/mentioned in in person events etc.
VW certainly are just that (arrogant), and their marketing videos are terrible also. I do wonder if the kids might have done a better job of setting up a battery factory in time to compete with the like of tesla/PRC. As it stands, by the time they turn up at the party, the lights will be back on, beer keg empty, and sound system standing idle with a faint hum..
I think (unfortunately in the case of mining) whether it be for minerals/metals or extraction of hydrocarbons, there can be a resource size which starts to work against the case for it being a good investment. Whilst I don't doubt this resource will be utilised, and some people will make fortunes from it, I suspect it'll be/is being fiercely fought over. Hopefully Keith's been savvy enough to ensure we don't get 'done over', but everyone has their price, and when it comes down to it we won't get a say as small (ish) PI's.
I suspect they're going to try and cut us out one way or the other. It's pretty clear this is what's been going on for years now, and likely we'll be forced to accept their terms. Like it or lump it, as we've not been privvy to any of these 'agreements' which have been made, we only have one mans word to go on that we're in any way protected, which as things stand isn't a great assurance to have.
