They got the final word, but their conservative arguments should have been challenged: hVivo has a decades long safety record which they ought to acknowledge and respect like their colleague did; the scientific knowledge gained should not be casually dismissed, even their own assessment of mere "confirmation" is scientifically valuable, and it was gleaned from what was just a characterisation study, a precursor to the real thing, as they well know; during a pandemic it is not only the risk to willing volunteers that should be considered - it needs to be balanced against the risk to the entire human population.

Looks like people have been reading this one wrong, seeing the purchase of Albyn as an expensive smokescreen. As I said 4 months ago, when the SP was much higher, revenue is growing, from organic sources as well as from the acquisition, and ALL of it counts. To my mind the company is stronger than it was when the SP went above £2 in every one of the four previous years, and the logical outlook is growing revenue and positive newsflow continuously for the foreseeable future.

Smaller healthcare companies generally seem to be under the cosh at the moment, not just AGL. ORPH, for example, announced a big milestone today, of worldwide significance, but got an extremely muted response in the SP. CREO have been heading south for about a year, despite having several products already approved by regulators. Maxcyte and Skinbio have also taken heavy falls. No one likes us.

Things are very different than when this study was ordered. Back then there were no approved vaccines and this was big news. Now, although over 11,000 people died of COVID yesterday (worldwide), it is perceived as less of a threat. So the SP is unlikely to be propelled by sentiment the way it was previously. Also, it took about twice as long as expected, so the market will now tend to treat anything said about it with a pinch of salt.

Nevertheless, this is a major milestone, and opens up a vista of possibilities for ORPH in the international COVID space, now likely to be an ongoing market as big as flu, i.e. billions of dollars annually. As world leaders, they must be confident of grabbing a fairly large slice of that.

Congratulations to the scientists, technicians and volunteers on their achievement - providing mankind with vital intelligence to fight back against this killer.

Is there an echo in here? Well done Chamer for spotting this 9 days ago. As we expected (and some contradicted: "already baked into the price"), the SP got a boost.

It was lucky that AAF outperformed most of the market in the days just before BHP dropped out (it was obviously not, as someone claimed, "falling like a stone"), because only one place was available, and some were predicting another stock would be the new entry.

Hopefully we'll see sustained improvement in subscriber and revenue numbers to consolidate the position as one of the leading stocks on the UK market. GLA

Although the next review of the FTSE100 wasn't due until March, a special one happened at close of business on Friday because BHP group dropped out following a change in corporate structure. It looks like AAF have sneaked in early?

Spot on Investor0109 - results ahead of expectations just as you predicted. Another great acquisition in the US, paid for with cash, aimed at accelerating growth in the company's largest market. Five-year target for digital content achieved, but clearly just the beginning of a highly profitable venture. Company is still looking seriously undervalued, imo, with sound management, proven strategy, organic growth outstripping the SP, and great prospects.

It's not the court case Martin, that's on hold until the Patent review decision. Although the patents continue to look solid to many of us, nothing much has changed, and crucially there is no indication of how the PTAB view the submissions, so nothing for the market to react to - SP is probably currently more affected by general topics like inflation, interest rates, and slowing economic activity?

Good example Boracic. I laughed when Brandi said one of her students used a Nanoco patent as a reference source, that was really rubbing it in! Confirmation bias definitely has to be guarded against, but it's difficult to read the documents any other way than as embarrassing for Samsung. FTSE100 constituency is revised quarterly - I think the next one is due early March - so if they are still around this level in six weeks time there should logically be some updraft from index trackers and the like

Obviously, this is a gross misinterpretation of the stats based on excluding all relevant context and narrowly fixating on an unrepresentative mortality group. It's like saying someone didn't die of cancer because they had diabetes too. Also, this false interpretation argues against your conclusion, not for it, which seems to indicate another layer of misunderstanding and confusion.

On the face of it, the case doesn't seem to have changed since it was presented to the court - Samsung blatantly trying it on and getting caught out pretty dramatically. Hope to see Samsung not just lose the case and pay heavily, but also get exposed worldwide as swindling charlatans who cannot be trusted.
