The difference being strategy or leadership or both. PMO not cutting the mustard in the eyes of the market by comparison to peers.

So the question is why doesn't the market value PMO accordingly given those fundamentals and with 43% of sales hedged at a price higher than current poo and massively above the cost of production .The answer is the market does not have confidence in either the strategy or leadership, or both .

and by the way, its the job of IR to understand what the analyst concerns are then feed that back to mgt and for mgt to address them; either in the strategy , or in the messaging if the strategy is not getting across .

If the first two points are true, then these can easily be addressed by the mgt making a very clear statement to the market what the position/policy is on these matters to stop any speculation. What markets don't like is uncertainty ; the job of leadership is provide clarity and predictability

Whatever the facts, the market has no confidence in PMO. Its not necessarily rational or fair, but de facto for whatever reason PMO is massively undervalued and the markets are not reacting positively to wahts going on.There needs to be a change in strategy and leadership .

Pmo needs to get across the message loud and clear how it can live with ( pay down debt) at lower oil prices and bang home that message. It needs to give confidence that the debt is repayment is not threatened by lower poo. Therefore hedging is very much part of the risk reduction strategy.

I wish so but doubt it if previuos updates are anything to go by, also poo is down/ supressed so tu would have to be spectacular for a big rise on Wed under current scenario. Hope I'm wrong.

I enquired about this (divi) earlier this year with IR at PMO and was told this is precluded by the financing agreement unless there is a substantial increase in the price of Oil with any such payment to be approved by lenders and on the basis of it being a one off.Dividend policy therefore not able to be reviewed until next refinance .

I believe the re-financing precludes such equity fund raising for projects , so I cant this being an option at the moment, at least until the next refinance

I was told by the company this week that restoring the dividend is not permissable under the terms of the current financing agreement. This will be revisited at the next refinance in 2021. So un til then its off the table

And subsequent upgrades from brokers following todays update will add to the level of confidence and upward momentum.

Maybe they should announce pmo are diversifying into sausage rolls. Greggs up 10% today after sales soar. Hmmm.
