Dunks, you will hold the same no of shares post merger ad pre merger. As to the price on opening compared to market close pre merger, this is the big question. Nothing can be guaranteed, although the creditors of pmo have agreed to reveive millions of new shares in return for cancelling debt so they must have assumed their shares will rise in value. Having said that you have to make up your own mind based on your own research. Its s tricky one because of the humungous share issue ( approx 18bn, ) so tread carefully. St, I think you are being quite conservative with mcap at 5bn. I think 7bn is more likely , in line with peers, which would be a share price of 38p . If we get to oil at 70 by then, even 40p .

Tman, a word to the wise, its not recommended to hold commodity stocks for the long term as they fall and rise with commodity prices so very volatile. Best to buy when commodities are low ie april 2020, and sell when high, probably later this year. Just my opinion so dyor.

There is a significant shift in money away from fashionable tech stocks that are way over valued, into more value stocks like commodities which are very undervalued. Look at Rio recently paying a record dividend. Smart money now moving into commodities and oil included despite its environmental reputation. mr buffet has called it right with his billions invested in Chevron. I think its boom time for us invested in HE. At 28 p, soooooo cheap. 40p on the cards....

Under the terms of the agreement arcm have to keep their new shares for a given period, I think for 6 months, so they are locked in . This does not apply to other creditors as they are below the lock in threshold

Because it is NOT a new company. Same company with a diff name and new shares issued, mainly to new investors ( harbour) and old pmo creditors, 17bn more !
