Talk of oil going to one pound is fanciful. Opec will rebalance the market at oil above 80, no question about that. Extremely high price of oil is not good for the market. What we need is balance and a price between 70 and 80 suits everyone.

The level of shorts have no relevance now, and in any ev ent cant be explained with any certainty. Best ignored since they are not a reflection of any fundamental weakness in sp. All will be clear come 1 April

Agreed 70p for HE is totally unrealistic, unless poo above 80, which again is not realistic as the Saudis will turn on the taps after 70 dollars.HE at 50p is certainly possible this year , with 40 p almost certain post completion by end of June when first results/ market update is presented. All good.
