I'm in the COPL camp but am pleased to see this recovering from the big drop this morning for various reasons.

So rather than generating $3M income unhedged during January we generated 20% less so $2.5M. A $500k difference is very little in the overal scheme of things and when once considers actual profit we're about £200k down. What a load of fuss for nothing really. We tapped a further £2.8M at the end of the year so not quite sure why we didn't make payment???

Stas the JV partner approached us and have since completed their technical DD and it is advancing. In fact I believe their DD flagged up the CC recompletion potential and bosh - it flows unstimulated. These will be added to the reserves because it is REAL

RNA extract from 23rd Jan:
First successful Frontier 1 oil completion at Cole Creek since Frontier 1 oil was first identified by the original Unit operator in 1943;

· 11-27-35n-77w well is currently pumping 125-135 bbl./d of fluid through 65' of unstimulated perforations, with gasified light oil cuts of up to 86% observed late last week;

· Well clean-up is continuing with near well-bore damage caused by invasion of significant volumes of light fresh water drilling mud during drilling 10.5 years ago;

· COPL expects conversion of Frontier 1 Prospective Resources to Contingent Resources and ultimately Reserves as additional producing wells come online;

· The Company has defined an "Oil Down To" elevation for the Frontier 1 at Cole Creek with an area of approximately 8,000 acres;

· The Frontier 1 recompletion program at Cole Creek will continue with 4-27-35n-77w.

The JV company would have walked by now if the oil wasn't there or was highly exaggerated - it's that simple.

Usually one takes notice of the most recent comms as is the most up to date. What you have highlighted is in fact significant progress has been made as the language used is now very different and more confident. The word 'potential' dropped

The Company confirms that it is actively negotiating terms for a joint venture for the long-term development of its Wyoming assets. The Company plans to announce the detailed terms as soon as they are agreed.”

Findings of the report/conclusion will confirm that the resource is a beast - but we already knew that. Hopefully it will include the recompletion well data! March is shaping up to be a huge defining month for COPL.

The reserve report is expected to be 'ready in late Feb and available early March'. Is that to seal both the JV and RBL. If this happens it will be a decent turnaround. Basically is expected between now and next week. It's too late for the second recompletion well data to be included. Let's see....

AM said they had already been approached by a number of companies on the edges but they are 'much smaller'. So this JV partner is large of which there are 'several' in Wyoming who are now going after our 'Wyoming assets now the game changer has been announced'. Fu**ckin weather ay.

Does NDA mean exclusively as there are a lot of large oil companies with a menacing amount of fee cash flow looking to invest in safe jurisdictions and our SP is on its knees. No doubt there are others monitoring the situation carefully.

AM said that the JV partner is a large oil company in Wyoming of which there are several.

Looks like the bonds today are Cornerstone because there is no bid bashing. SING just had a few and left the Ask and the Ask rises. There conversion price is crap but I'm thinking bigger picture as there is someone big behind this investor as quite a few agree. All this SP bashing has meant that I now own quite a few of what I consider cheap shares. After all our MCap is just £20M which is ludicrous when there is a JV partner prob hoping long term to bash out 60-80 bopd from our Wyoming assets (which I think will exclude the Shannon unit).

Surely an update next week...

BTW John is the mouth piece on LSE for a syndicate with Niam Terminator guy who crashed ITS SP after his TR1 disclosure. They took the 88E placing etc etc. They have an agenda like most to make money - however they operate a ring and why he thinks he Johnny big balls. When in reality he's probably a weasel lol
