Jack, quite apart from the profit I hope to make, I really do hope the B1 well is good, either for gas or gas and liquids, just to shut up the negative moaning on here. It will be a very, very pleasant day indeed.
The exposure of the directors and family is indeed significant so they will hardly be gunning for failure.
I don't very often post negatively on a board. If I think a share is not good or has poor prospects, poor management or is run cynically, with little or no regard to shareholders... guess what. I don't invest and I don't post.
I am then always puzzled by posters who post either random single or a handful of negative posts, as if that is going to do anything, or super puzzled by the month after month, year after year, banging on of the sad lowlifes with nothing better to do who just always carp on about the negative. I can though, understand highlighting things that are 'bang out or order' to coin a phrase.
The king of these is the award of massive bonus on significant SP failure. I have been invested in two of these, namely HNR and SML. In both cases the CEO's paid themselves a whopping bonus through a period of steep share price decline. No such level of cynical pocket lining has occurred here. S&S's salaries although high for many are not at all high in the banking world they originate from. You can have a debate about what level of work merits this remuneration but it won't get you very far. Following this is the continual placing type, having promised no need to dilute. This also has not happened. Placings have been discreet and focused to make aquisitions and investments.
What is clear is they do have reason to wish the projects they invest in to succeed. O&G exploration is a risky affair. They have had useful, modest success in California but not with Corralian. Rathlin have already made a major discovery and now it's time to see if it's even better. Romania is ongoing but could have had a better start. You cannot blame S&S for that.
It's clear that market dynamics at the moment are tough and the SP can be moved significantly by pretty small volumes traded. This is a market effect and nothing to do with the management of RBD. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
So when I read some of the spineless guff posted on here, I do marvel at the human condition. That said, I'm not really surprised, just sorry for the lowlifes who think this is a fit way to behave.
Hey ho. Have a great afternoon and GLALTH... of course. BH
